Thanks for the response. I tried again today with doing it various ways. I found I did get it to work by…after checking the exclude boxes, hit the “insert gallery” button, then the overall “save changes” button. THEN…I clicked on the top left side “view page” button.(I would usually just refresh the page in a different tab). When I do this the page looks right. And then looks right even after I then load the page outside of the dashboard.

Has anyone figured out how to work around 2013 theme to make the background image show through?

I don’t quite understand the quote from the developers “the layout is 100% wide—meaning a background color would not show up on most display sizes”. I can make my background image large enough to fill out a very wide screen, so I don’t see the problem.

I think it was because I did not put it into a div.

Can someone tell me how this works? How do you create a slider? There is no way to add images. YOu can add the title, but I don’t want text in there. How do I add images from my media files? There is no function to do this.
