Still couldn’t figure this out.

turned out it was gzip compression. giving ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED error.

Turning of “Enable HTTP (gzip) compression” fixed the issue but this time i cant benefit from w3 total cache.

Asked my hosting provider if my host supports gzip, and they said yes.

any idea how to fix it? (its currently turned off due not to break user experience)

it disappeared again after few mins anyway. i really dont know what to do….

I tried many permissions including 644, but no luck so far. Trying 555 at the moment.

Is it the content that is disappearing or the whole file? Have you tried disabling your plugins? Maybe one of them is effecting it

only .htaccess file is disappearing. and because of that, i can’t reach my content on the website. only home page is showing. i am trying the plugins now.
