Very helpful review. Thanks.
If you’ve got it working in 4.2.4, I would just wait until the next patch I’d released. Also, it would probably pay you to make a copy that you can run locally and test the updates on.

In reply to: Theme page not respondingHi, I had the same problem with a site when I did a fresh install of 4.2.2. When I redid the install with 4.0, everything was fine. I couldn’t determine if this was a documented bug or not. But other sites I have in 4.2.2 don’t have this problem. I’m sorry I don’t have a good solution to your problem, but I hope the above is helpful. Good Luck.

In reply to: How to rename pages with .htm extensionThere are some fairly simple plugins you can install that will do this for you. Search the plugins on “redirect” and you’ll find a number of good ones. With only a dozen old pages you should be able to dispense with this project in an hour or two. No need to change servers!

In reply to: Can't Paste Libre to WP 3.9.6 and Get the Right Size/StyleI would try opening one of the older posts in the editor and taking note of the font and style settings. Then return to a new post, highlight the text, and see if you can’t apply those settings.
If that doesn’t work, would you post some links to the effected pages?

In reply to: Contact Form 7 EditingHi, Glad this was helpful. Would you want to mark it as “resolved.”

In reply to: Google Analytics: Tracking Not InstalledI agree the script in the source code looks good. The only tiny tweak I could suggest (grabbing at straws) is to replace the
<script>
tag with a<script type="text/javascript">
to be a little more explicit. The only other thing I can think to check would be to go back to Google Analytics and make sure the url is correct. I notice that you list the url above as “www.” but that when I go to the site, it redirects to “https://realestatemarketinglabs.com/” — without the “www” subdomain. I think that can make a difference.

In reply to: Google Analytics: Tracking Not InstalledHi, Have you checked the source code on the html output to see if it makes it there? I’m guessing it isn’t making it. Please make sure that you are editing the header.php that is associated with your theme.
Also, if you aren’t that comfortable working with the code, there are a lot of great plugins that you can use. Yoast comes to mind. Here’s a link to a good article that might help.

If you are still having problems and you post a link to your site, and I’ll take a look at the source code.

In reply to: Menu & Sub-menu hover colorsHi, It looks like you may have resolved this? If so, would you want to mark this ticket as resolved? If not, let me know, and I’ll take another look.

In reply to: Jetpack Sidebar Facebook Like Box and Getting Error MessageHi, Good news, Safari also has a private browsing mode. This Apple Support article will help you use it. From reading up on this a little, you are not the only person with this problem. But, if I’m understanding correctly, when the problem happens, it is only happening to you, not to other users of your site. You could check that out by looking at your WordPress site on another computer that isn’t logged into any of your facebook accounts, but might be logged into somebody elses account.
This all feels a little complicated, please let me know if it doesn’t seem to make sense.

In reply to: Jetpack Sidebar Facebook Like Box and Getting Error MessageHi, I haven’t had a chance to test this theory, but I would guess that it defaults back when the Facebook page that you are logged into changes. I would try running your Facebook pages in either a “private” window (in Firefox) or an “incognito” window (in Chrome). If that doesn’t help, and nobody else has a better answer, I’ll try to duplicate it on my end. Let me know.

In reply to: Font / text colors and stylesHi, I have a feeling you may have accidentally hit the “kitchen sink” button. It is at the right hand end of the toolbar. Hit that, and see if your tool bar doesn’t come back.
For your second question, I think the very short answer is style sheets, or “CSS”. You can edit all the major styles in one place, and have them applied every where on the site. This codex article is a good starting point.
