That didn’t work, I’m afraid. I’ve downgraded the plugin again.
I’ll post this in S&F pro Support…
Any ideas on this?
ie. it seems to me that the images are no longer scaling, but instead defaulting to their original size
Hello!
Here’s how it looks at 1.47 update
https://snipboard.io/vC8j7Z.jpgand here’s how it looks following 1.48 update
https://snipboard.io/ENP0Go.jpgThanks!
Ross, thanks a lot for taking the time to look into that. I’ve considered the option of using a php hook, but I think it’ll be beyond me. For the time being, I’ve simply overwritten the .svg, and have made a note to re-overwrite it on upgrade – not ideal, but practical for the short-term!
Thanks again
Also: woukld it help resolve this problem if we were to purchase the pro version of the plugin? We are about to abandon the attempt to get this working, but if there is any way we can resolve the issue quickly, we would still go for it!
I now have a message fron the plugin:
Dear user,
Your post ID 281151 not posted on Instragram due to following reason.
Input file “/var/sites/n/neillclerk.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/uploads/180bf35aca42fcabf34e8df0e6755bce74b90172.jpg” doesn’t exist. However, the images do exist, but not at that address. They exist in a specific folder within the uploads directory (eg. https://www.neillclerk.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/45331.jpg) and also at https://images.portalimages.com (eg. https://images.portalimages.com/113/29377877/image/s2/637141861335662717/69f4fa1a673c50783f42526d364882dad93be44f.jpg)
Do you know why the plugin is not finding the correct path for the featured image? Is it to do with this being a custom post type?
Just been investigating the custom post type. It shows a featured image in the list of posts, but when I view the actual post, the featured image is absent. I add the featured image, then hit ‘update’ (which will prompt a post to Instagram). I then get this error:
Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/sites/n/neillclerk.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-instagram-post/classes/class-woo-igp.php on line 631

I did have error notification turned on.
This is an example of one of the posts (custom post type) that doesn’t post to Instagram. All these posts have a featured image, btw. The login is still showing a green tick.
Also: I did get an error message this morning:
Unable to login Instagram!
InstagramAPI\Response\BootstrapUsersResponse: (<TransportErrorType.UNKNOWN: 0>, “(THROTTLING CLIENT ID REQUEST) Throttling request to tier ‘instagram.mezql.shots.prod’ with client id ‘search bootstrap suggestions’ because global request rate is higher than max configured 14589”, 0, <TransportOptions.0: 0>, servicerouter.py3.exceptions.ErrorReason(value=20, name=’THROTTLING CLIENT ID REQUEST’, message=’Throttling too many requests from client ID’)).I’ve had the connection running with a green tick (login seems OK) for a few weeks now. However, in that time a few postings have been made, but have not been sent through top Instagram by the plugin. I have not had any error messages sent to me to explain why not. Is there a log that I can check for this information?
I should explain that the site uses a custom post format, and it’s that custom post format that I want to post to Instagram. I have the custom post format selected in ‘options’, and during the initial period that I was using the plugin (before Instagram was refusing the connection) it was posting OK to Instagram.
Do you have any ideas where I couls start looking to see why the posts are not going to Instagram, and why they would have before but not now?
Thanks
Lex
PS
I understand that this is something to do with the proxy. I’d like to send you the access code I have under ‘proxy’ in the plugin login settings, so you can confirm the format is correct – but I can’t make it public.
Also: can we not assume that the format of the proxy login code must be correct because the connection/login is being made to Instagram OK (hence green tick)?
Got the green tick mark. Instgram log in seems fine, over proxy. I’m avoiding any other logins to the Instagram account except those going via proxy from the website.
Had to wait for a new post to appear (it’s a custom post type over which I have no control; don’t want to do test posts since I’d have to log in not via proxy to delete them) and a couple appeared today. Just received 25 error messages from the plugin:
Unable to login Instagram!
Network: CURL error 56: Received HTTP code 407 from proxy after CONNECT (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html).Can you help?

I think – I hope – I got the challenge sorted. Just trying to test it now with a test posting. When I save the post I get this message:

I think I have the proxy working – because I am back to the usual message:
‘InstagramAPI\Response\LoginResponse: Challenge required.’
I’ve read a lot about this problem elswehere on this forum. I am presently trying to log in – from anywhere – to Instagram. If we can get past the challenge, should I just use the proxy after that point? (The login will come from a different .ocation than the proxy, of course, though it’s based in the same country)
Hello!
1.
I checked ‘All settings will be deleted on deactivation of the plugin.’ and ‘Delete login sessions on deactivation?’, then deactivated, then activated the plugin. I then double-checked my Instagram logins (by logging in and out of Instagram). Then I filled out the username and password fields, which were now blank.
I still get the message ‘InstagramAPI\Response\LoginResponse: The password you entered is incorrect. Please try again.’
2.
I would like to use a proxy, and phave purchased one from your recommended agent.
I have followed your suggested proxy format:
https://user:pass@proxyserver:port
from the details of my proxy, simply replacing ‘user’ with my username, ‘pass’ with my proxy password, etc. Upon trying to connect, I get this message:Network: CURL error 35: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23 GET SERVER HELLO:unknown protocol (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html).
I have also tried the format
https://proxyserver:port
which appears under your form. I get the same message as above. Can you help? I’m willing to purchase the pro login if it helps me get quicker support – I am on an urgent timescale. Many thanks
