I just updated to the latest release of the plug-in and it appears to fix the issue as I don’t see the error in lighthouse. And it doesn’t pull the accessibility score down anymore.

Sure, thanks. As I mentioned, the interesting part is, I am using the same version of the plug-in on my other site and it doesn’t complain about it.

I have sent you the details. But unfortunately, I couldn’t even land on the stories section. It just doesn’t load. So, the video is not the re-pro of the actual issue rather the issue on landing on the visual story page of the plug-in.

Sorry I had to remove the link for some personal reasons. Can you share the email Id to send you the new link?

Also not that, as soon as you paste the link, it doesn’t load the thumnail and the title of the link as well. This was not the case with earlier version.

Below is the video recording of the issue.

What I do?
– Duplicate the existing story
– Remove a link in that story
– Add a new link
– Move to next page and come back to the previous page
– Look at the link that it is disappeared
Case 2:
– Add the link to the slide
– Save the story as draft
– Move to the next slide and come back
– See that the link is lost again

– As I mentioned earlier, the issue started apearing only after I had updated to the latest version of the plugin.

– I am not using any other templates as I have no intent. So, my experience is limited to food template.

Is there any update on this? Also the latest version of google web-stories plug-in for wordpress seems to have the description length set to 100 chars max(at least the food template) which used to be 200 earlier. Was this intentional? Writing description for a story within 100 chars seems to be not easy.

Hi, Thanks for the response.

– On slide 7 and 8, the links take effect(Even though I had trouble with slide 8 for sometime while I create the story)
– Yes, I can confirm that the “Learn More” text is within the box. In fact, I posted 50+ stories on my web with this template and I am pretty confident on that
– Yes, after pasting the link in right side bar, and if I navigate to another slide and come back, the box looks empty(Also, earlier if I post the link in the box, it used to load the title and the thumbnail of the destination url by default which is not happening right now)
– First slide being slide 7

Following is the story I was working with. It looks good after going through the workaround I had mentioned earlier in this post. But just for your reference.
