on a second look at this post, I think we’ve just got a spammer maybe….mod might possibly want to trash this thread?

I’m looking for the same answer as @norm. In my case I’m trying to add an icon to the profile header (member-header.php in my theme’s case) that will link to the displayed user’s achievements page. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Curious as to the status of this. I see by the bug report, that it hasn’t been tackled yet, and I’m simply curious as to when you plan on looking into this more. I’d like to change the name of ‘Achievements’ and ‘Karma’. I thought about creating a faux translation file that only ‘translates’ those two keywords, however, I’ve never created translation files and I’m still not sure which of the two methods are better for this instance. Thanks in advance for the update on this bug report and any advice.

Just jumping in to offer an update. On another thread Paul (dev for Achievements) notified another user with the same problem, that he is in the process for updating the plugin for WP 3.5 and BP 1.6/1.7

The recent changes in WP and BP were extremely large and apparently have caused a significant amount of conflicts with several plugins. Paul is very active in BP Community, so I’m sure a fix is only a very short time away.

I have an interest in this as well. I’m sure I can write a plugin to modify the achievements plugin that would do this. @paul, if I write the core of the plugin to do this mod, would you consider adding the UI fields in the plugin admin and adding my code to the core of Acheivements? I see this as a hugely important aspect of the Achievements system, that quite a few site admins would probably like to have….or maybe you’ve already added this to your 500 mile long to-do list? Let me know.

Kinda hardcore attack to make against a respected WP and BP dev. Paul has offered to help with this and you’ve not responded. I implor you to consider responding to his reply so that he (and others) can see what the situation stemmed from to help prevent other users of the plugin (29,000 downloads of the plugin) solve the problem.

I can see that you were upset, and understandably so, but let’s make a move forward to help prevent this type of issue from happening to others please.

I’m wondering if I’m using it wrong because when I add a new user through the mysite.com registration, it does not add them to the support.mysite.com installation? Also, just for fun, I tried to add a user via the ‘Network >> add user’ and it didn’t add them to either.

If this helps….I’m using S2Member to enroll the member on mysite.com…does that make a difference? I had asked at S2Member, I asked about this same thing and they told me that WP didn’t do that…which actually kind of worried me, since I have read and heard, that it does.

If you can give me some guidance on how to accomplish this, I would appreciate it. I’m sure that if I messed with wp core and database tables I could get it…but there is one problem with that…I NEVER WANT TO MAKE HARD CODE CHANGES TO WORDPRESS CORE…as fun as it would be, I just can’t see anything but future problems coming from doing so.

I’m just about to start working on this as well. Doing research now. Have you come up with a solutioN?
