In reply to: I can't access my blog after an upgradeYou should download the file wp-config.php from the root of your site and confirm the database name, username and password are correct. If you don’t know the database username/password, you may need to use the control panel at bluehost to update the password for the database user, then update the settings in the wp-config.php file.

In reply to: Auto Add Read MoreHey Drew. That may get a little dicey when it comes to including images and such because an image tag can contain a huge amount of characters. Especially if it includes an alt or title tag. If you use a character count and it cuts off in the middle of an image, you may end up with something really strange.
But, that being said, you may be able to try something like substr(the_content(), 0, 100). It may give you what you are looking for.
Please try that on a development site first.
Yeah, for the project that needed it, we just added blank option pages to the widgets so we could click save. Problem solved.
The issue is a tricky one. I don’t see a super simple way around it either. I’ve got my fingers crossed for ya.

In reply to: Facebook likes not always workingI’m seeing the same issue as well. But, I have 2 different sites both running 3.2. On one of them I’m having this issue, on the other, no issue at all. Would be happy to hear if anybody finds the conflict.
Hey Troy,
If you change the name of the theme (in the style.css file), the plugin won’t work. It’s looking for the name to decide which sizes it needs to set.
main.php is in the plugin folder. You’d need to edit it on your local machine.
Hope that helps.
Can you tell me what version of WordPress the site is running? Also, is it giving you any sort of error messages when you try to edit a package?
I haven’t heard of this happening for anybody else, so any additional information you can provide will be helpful. Things like what browser you’re using, where the site his hosted, is it running PHP 4 or 5, etc.

In reply to: [Genesis Simple Headers] [Plugin: Genesis Simple Headers] Sample Child Theme@mbeneteau – Based on which theme you currently have active, the plugin sets a specific height/width for the header which is the proper size for the active theme.
This plugin is for people who probably don’t know how to edit the CSS manually and are looking for the easy way to modify the headers. It’s not an overly advanced plugin. It does what it says and not much else. Sorry it’s not exactly what you are looking for.

In reply to: [Genesis Simple Headers] [Plugin: Genesis Simple Headers] Sample Child ThemeThanks for the reminder, Fred!
I added support for the sample child theme to the plugin (version 1.0.1). However, if you upgrade to Genesis 1.6, depending on which child theme you are using, you may not need this plugin at all as the StudioPress folks are adding in support for custom headers. An easy way to to tell is if your appearance tab looks like this, then just deactivate the plugin and you should be set.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks for that!

In reply to: [Genesis Simple Headers] Can't use Genesis Simple Headers pluginThis plugin only works if you are using one of the themes available from StudioPress.
Can you send me a couple screenshots so I can see what you are seeing? john[at]9seeds[dot]com

In reply to: [WP Event Ticketing] [Plugin: WP Event Ticketing] Multiple events – When?@projectfuturism – The pro version will have support for additional payment systems. To start with we’ll integrate with authorize.net. More will likely get added in the future.
Hoping to have it out in April. Fingers crossed!
