• So since we have started using this plugin, I can say, YES it works… It DOES remove nasty from your analytics results.

    HOWEVER

Since we have started using this plugin, I have had 3 of my sites experience a .htaccess injection

One of the sites the .htaccess was shoved up to 1.5mb several times.. and the other ended up in a porn redirect attack..

I HOPE it was not this plugin, but when I disabled the plugin as part of a multi step cleaning process the injections SEEMED to stop.. I will keep trying it on a site i don’t really care about to see how it goes, and if that site seems to get hijacked.

  • Hi there, I’m sorry to hear this happened with the plugin.
There was actually a conflicting bug between WordPress and the plugin so last week I provided an update with the plugin completely rewritten that avoids this error in the .htaccess file.

It was not an injection in to your site but a bug on my behalf so I apologise for that. Your site is not vulnerable by using this plugin.

If you update to the latest version of the plugin, simply ‘deactivate’ and ‘activate’ it again to make it remove the old plugin code and add a much better spam blocking code which is much more effective.
