In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text?I’m a techie but not a developer so can you be a bit more specific about the define statement I need to add? I can easily edit the wp-config.php file if I know exactly the line(s) to add.
And thanks for your support…you are an amazing plug-in author! I’ll gladly donate to a paypal if you have it.

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text?Ran into another problem…not sure if this can be fixed on your end or not. But I installed the WP/LR Sync plug-in, which lets you sync your photos between Adobe Lightroom and the WP media library. It automatically uploads photos…it’s pretty slick.
The problem is the automated upload process does NOT trigger your IPCT rule, so the alt text is empty. I can manually click on the map button in the library and it populates. But if I’m refreshing/upload dozens of photos, manual becomes a headache.
Is it possible to get your rules triggered by this method of media uploads?

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text?ah ha! 1) I disabled Imagify and nothing changed (still flakey) 2) By selecting the replace option, the alt text immediately populated. I deleted and re-uploaded the photo a few times and now it always immediately populates. Yippee!! Thanks!

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text? Those two options have been checked all along. I import media via the LIbary “add new” button and browse to the file on my computer. After it is imported, I click on “edit” and the alt text just as the file name and my name. I can clear that field and click ‘map IPTC/EXIF metadata” numerous times and nothing populates. This last time I cleared the field, clicked “update” then the map button and it populated.
I don’t think it makes any difference but I am using Imagify, which compresses image files when they are uploaded. That kicks in 100% of the time when I upload a media file.

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text?Better…but have a question about workflow. When I uploaded the photo via the media uploader and went into the Edit media page the alt text just had the file name and my name.
In order for the alt text to populate with your data, I have to randomly click the two map buttons, update, click some more, and eventually the field will populate. I can’t imagine that is how it should work. I was hoping that it would auto-populate when media is uploaded to the library via the WP load function.

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text?I just opened Photoshop CC and the image…and I get different results. Under IPTC I see:
Creator
Country
email
website
date
sublocation
city
state
country
copyright noticeIronically, I don’t see ANY keywords anywhere in the photoshop dialog box. There’s a free tool called EXIF Pilot that also pulls out the same info from my file.

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text? No, I didn’t realize that was part of the argument. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve since tried it with, and still doesn’t populate:
template:([+iptc:2#025+] – )([+iptc:2#090+], [+iptc:2#092+], [+iptc:2#095+], [+iptc:2#100+], [+iptc:2#101+])

In reply to: [Media Library Assistant] Multiple IPTC properties into alt text? Thanks for the quick response and detailed info. However, my rule isn’t working. ??
Name: ALT Text
IPTC Value: None
EXIF/Template Value: ([+iptc:2#025+] – )([+iptc:2#090+], [+iptc:2#092+], [+iptc:2#095+], [+iptc:2#100+], [+iptc:2#101+])
Priority: IPTC
Existing text: keep
Status: ActiveI used the Windows Exif Pilot and as far as I can tell, I have the right IPTC fields populated in my photo. I can see them in my media library thanks to another plug-in. I imported a photo and also manually ran the rules and the alt text field didn’t change.

In reply to: [PhotoPress - Image Taxonomies] Poor Library formattingI do apologize for the confusion, and you are 100% right. I slimmed down the columns and all is well. I did a test import from Lightroom using Jeffrey’s “Metadata Wrangler” Lightroom Plugin. It imported the proper location information such as photo city, photo state, and countries.
I don’t know if this is possible, but it would be nice to optionally have this plug-in auto-populate alternative text/description with certain fields for better SEO.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Recaptcha broke on iOS Safari/Firefox FocusBy broken, I mean that the ReCaptcha box does NOT appear on the input form.
I have the exact same problem. Spammed with multiple emails with the same set of changed files, every night.
