I’ve tried again, it’s displaying correctly now on the test page, in the grid, 3 columns, but is struggling to load images in the edit dashboard. I assume the updates today have helped. But it’s a bit risky. I’ll stick with the other plugin until I’m sure it’s settled again.
It won’t let me upload a screen image from my computer here, so it’s no use. On the test page I used the gallery in the block choice which is WP. Still no good as the images just bunch underneath each other instead of in a smart grid.

I’ve made this test page for you to see the problem with current theme and WP Carousel. Was fine until update a few days ago.
ah thanks useful to know. I use Total from theme forest.
Yes I’d like to see a way to make all the images/thumbnail squares, like instagram? Is this possible, some are oblong further down a grid design some square some in between. Have tried varying sizes, not sure which elements to change.

In reply to: [Modula Image Gallery] Problems after the latest updateI’ve removed Modula now, as I found the latest update meant the filmstrip showed but no carousel slider display as before so useless. I had to delete all and start with Gutenberg block gallery which is more basic. Tired of finding carousels work for a while and then issues happen and have to go back to basic types of plugin to work.
Thank you for this confirmation. I’ve set that blue blob setting to on, if it wasn’t already. Will monitor performance! Never had this on my own site with a paid theme, same host. hmm…Anyway thanks again.
Thank you for pressing this issue as I had another hunt round dashboard/plugin links setting and so far it works! Why I have to do this is odd. Anyway fingers crossed for now. yes I might raise this with them…
AHA, Just found one answer. I signed in as usual, clicked the empty cache for this page under the speedycache links for each page newly done. And they now show on chrome and Safari when signed out! Cripes never had that before. Why?
thanks for reply. Not that I know of no. But I’ve tried emptying every cache via chrome. No difference. My host is studying the problem. If it can’t be resolved, it makes the theme fairly useless for regular new posts. There’s a speedycache which was auto loaded with Softalicious when site set up with host.
resolved, phone has to be landscape position!

In reply to: Css frozen in, won’t saveHow very interesting, I’m glad you got yours working too…it seems a chance succession of trials but once you can save things, then deletion into another plugin that does the same thing is the answer. Phew….

In reply to: Css frozen in, won’t saveyes…I did a procedure which may have helped or not…I activated an old theme, tried out the updated imported theme of the one I really want and use normally, which I found looked odd and had removed some useful controls, so I reverted back and re-imported my older theme which I prefer. I had by then already removed jetpack, which wasn’t the issue, as it didn’t control the customise area…
I then removed a few plugins I was using like WP Optimiser, Simple Social icons and something else…I then noticed that it then saved the changes, no browser messages saying it wouldn’t save, but didn’t apply them, so that was progress. This meant I could then delete, or copy the css in the customise area, and paste it into the plugin I had downloaded called simple custom css. Altho, that didn’t yet apply any of my changes, what made the final difference was removing the duplicated css I had put into the css area provided by the theme itself, another area. After that the css now works properly…so what exactly it all was I don’t know. Because it all worked fine before I upgraded to WP4.7 but giving a shake up seemed to help all round. Technology eh! it’s the first time I’ve managed to find the fault myself…

In reply to: Css frozen in, won’t saveI think I have found the problem, I deleted a few plugins that I wasn’t using, but that wasn’t it…but then I deleted the same code put into the theme options css section, and that seemed to do it…now I can see a few colour changes only on the css section I made…so I Think I’ve solved it…! Which is a first all by myself…! Thanks for now I read the article but it sounds a bit advanced for me…I can recommend though using simple custom css as a plugin and avoiding using customise WP itself or any css space with the theme….!

In reply to: Css frozen in, won’t saveBy chance it now seems to at last enable it to be removed and save it as it should, but if you put any new css to any of the plugins, simple css, neither removing it, nor editing css in the other plugin for css, makes any changes visible…so it’s not functioning properly.
