Basically the only icon showing under the Share button is “Print”. But under WordPress settings, I’ve set it up for Facebook and Twitter and Print.
It did show all of these options a few weeks ago but now it’s just “Print”.
This is happening to every post on our site https://www.vancouverbarista.com/

Hello @fstat@macmanx @lizkarkoski I am puzzled because I looked at our website today and the FB option now doesn’t even show under the share button. It basically disappeared, although it is setup under our Settings in WP. Can you help? thank you.

@davidjeanfelix thanks for your help, got your post today. I found a helpful chain of info if you do a search for the topic “Facebook shares count gone”. There is an area under settings in wordpress where you can select official buttons. I was unsuccessful but there are some helpful plugin contributors in that chain of communication.

Unfortunately contacting developers facebook was no help at all.

I found on another part of the forum (via plugin contributor) that you can switch to official FB buttons through wordpress. I’ve been having trouble doing that but will work through that area of the forum instead to try and resolve this.

@fstat @macmanx @lizkarkoski I followed instructions and switched to the official buttons in settings, but it doesn’t seem to work. I don’t see the official buttons?

Thank you @t-p. I will try that. If anyone out there has placed the official FB share button in their WordPress site, please let us know how you did it! We’re not programmers, how can a normal person figure this out?!

Hello David, We also experienced the same problem. No response yet on our post to the forum yesterday. However, I did find out elsewhere that Facebook’s old API was retired last week which means they also no longer provide sharing counts for any unofficial buttons added to a site via third party plugins. (We used an unofficial button, so suspecting you have the same problem?). Anyway, we found this link from Facebook on how to add an official button, but it was pretty complicated; we could not figure out WHERE to add the “code” on WordPress (which was never required by a simple plugin). We’re in the same boat and so disappointed that there seems to be no resolution.
