I figured it out! The same thing I overlooked when installing wp the first time around. I had the theme files in an extra directory. In other words it was like this (example):

    classic > classic > themefileshere

I just deleted them and put them under one directory:

    classic>themefileshere

WordPress couldn’t find the file because it was stuck in another directory. The simplest solutions are the most headaches *laugh*

I had the same error. And your right it had to do with the database. In my case I had created a new one thinking I had already deleted the old one and the old “username” . I deleted all of it (since there’s nothing in them anyway) and created a new database THEN added a new user account to THAT database. I think the username I chose wasn’t “connected” to the database I was using. It was calling up air! So make sure your user account is actually added to the database your using. Hope this helps.

I didn’t realize when I installed wordpress how much I would need to know to simply get a blog on my site. All I want is to put my logo at the top and make the colors match my site. I didn’t realize it was so complicated since I don’t know css to save my life. I was hoping to have my site running by the end of the week but it looks like my only option now is to find someone to do it for me in which I can forget since I don’t have the money to hire anyone. But thanks for the help anyway everyone.
