discovered that customizer options now, highly sophisticated, many thanks. This helps as a first shot, but the challenge remains, just as an example:

for Woocommerce products you want to display categories but not date and user, for standard posts not (because e.g. you are not using them for standard posts), but the user and date is relevant, and other custum post types could be different too

Yes, in my case it is Gutenberg standard “archives Widget” etc. Just made a test with a clean installation, with only one post and one page, and with popup maker as the only plugin, and it is clearly related to it. Sent that to tech support.

Yes, it is e.g. also effection the category widget and other, already posted a technical ticket like suggested

I already did it via adding the generated animation classes to a Gutenberg Block before. So your answer is confirmaing, that that is the way to animate any Gutenberg Block. I had some issue with that, as follows:
Using animate it with the classic text block element is working fine, animating the same way any Gutenberg block directly caused some flashing issue (doubled animations). I recognized now, that this was caused because I used some of your class names also in my stylesheet, so I changed some of my css in my stylesheet, and it is working fine now.

I am not a developer, but that leads me to a suggestion / question: To avoid conflicts when animating Gutenberg Blocks “directly” (your option 2), is it possible to “wrap” that in some way? Or, if not possible or your plugin could be extended that way in the future, it probably would be good if your generated class names are “unique” with some prefix like “AI-” or something like that.

ok, solved it. It was caused by my firewall plugin as follows:
The site I had the issues with was the only one I ran without Ninja Firewall yet, all the other sites (not having that issue) are running with active Ninja Fireall. Not saving issue was caused, because the firewall (despite beeing installed in that site) blocked an access when trying to save the settings (where and what I don’t know).

I did not have the time to deepdive that, but after installing Ninja Firewall on the issue site too, the issue with saving settings was gone.

i tested it again on theme Twenty Twenty and all other plugins deactivated. Changed text size is kept, if it is set a user defined value, but not if you use the standard settings to change it.

I think we misunderstood us, I just thought that you replicated that in general, but now I understand you made a test with the blocksy theme.

they told me to fix it, they did not tell me how.

But if you are now sure that this is a general issue in some cases with your plugin, it might make more sense to tell them that you would fix it in general, or not?

What I recognized, when the issue occurrs, it is not possible to scroll up the left admin bar in the editor, seems to be stuck then.

I tried different themes now, and right, the issue is only occurring with the Gutenberg Theme “Blocksy” I am using. I submitted a ticket to them.
