    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

Where can I find this metavalue in the database? Is it somehow binded to the user, so that I can clearly proof that a particular user has given consent?

I saw the consent message in the orders list, but it shows up when the client has denied his consent. What about the case when the client gives his consent?

I don’t know if I’m asking the right questions. My aim is to be GDPR compliant, and as far as I know you should be able to proof that a user has given consent to the use of his personal data for a specific use (in this case sending the review invitation). How can I do this using your plugin?

    Hi!

Following the instructions in the article I managed to find the translation for the email object and title (highlighted in green on my screenshot) but not the email body text (highlighted in red on my screenshot).

Can you give me any advice?

Hi and sorry for my late reply.

After a few days the credentials started working again. I don’t know what could have happen but everything works fine now.

Thank you anyway for your support.

    Hi!

Here are my answers per topic.

Privacy of WP Customer Area’s files.

So if my understanding is correct the instructions at your link won’t apply if using Elementor’s upload system. You suggest to use the dropzone inside private files’ posts, but to me it’s not clear how to use the files uploaded this way inside Elementor. How do I retrieve them / their URL?

Gallery inside Elementor and CSS integration issues.

I totally understand that some CSS tweaking is necessary to handle this nested structure. Aside from that I followed your instructions and this is the result:

After changing the theme the images do display columns, except for the last one! The same thing happens on frontend.

I found a “random” <br> tag before the last <dl> (in the next screenshot, see the blue line in the code inspector).

Let me know what do you think about it!

    Regards

    Hi!

This is the only string I see following the instructions in the article.

Where/how do I find the email object (“How did we do?”), the email body text etc?

    Thank you

    Hi!

I added the code snippet in a custom plugin as described in your instructions and updated it with the last snippet.

Unfortunately my image gallery still doesn’t show up in rows, both in frontend and backend.

    Any ideas why this happens?

    Hi,

thank you for your advise about the skin option. Given your explanation I will not disable it.

I await your updates about the issue with Elementor.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Thomas,

    sorry for my late reply.

Here are the screenshots you required:

Admin edit post screen showing the page I’m trying to customize:

and the Elementor’s editor inside the page:

As you can see I’m trying to insert a photo gallery that has 5 columns, but this is the rendering on the frontend:

I made this simple test just to see what can be done with Elementor inside a private page. I don’t need it for the private files, so I didn’t allow this custom post type in Elementor’s settings. Maybe this clarifies your doubt about where I want to use Elementor.

In WP Customer Settings I left active the option for the Skin “Includes the WP Customer Area skin to provide a stylesheet for the plugin”. If I disable it, the Elementor layout/style works fine on the frontend but everything else (like the private area menu) is unstyled, as you can see in this screenshot:

I’m looking for a way to mantain some styling for the elements like the private area menu and be able to add my style/structure to the page content.

An acceptable solution would also be to leave the default skin disabled (so that Elementor widgets will work as expected) and write my own CSS for the menu, but I’m wondering where I can retrieve the original CSS rules in order to restore them without having to write them again from scratch.

    Hope this makes sense.

I look forward for your reply.

    Hi,

    thank you for the instructions.

I followed the steps and added the code snippet, but it breaks my site if I insert it as is. Instead it seems to work if I remove “public” before the function.

After doing this I tried adding some Elementor content on a private page. I added a gallery widget with 5 columns but if I visit the page the images are displayed in rows (one below each other), so something with the style is not working. Can you help me figure out why this happens?

Another question: when talking about private files and their privacy, do you refer to the files uploaded in Private Area > Files (I don’t see any Elementor tools here) or to those inserted in the pages managed through Elementor (for example the images of a gallery, as the one I’m trying to set up above)?

Thank you @xue28 for your reply.

I confirm that the issue started to appear when I activated the Elementor and Elementor Pro plugins.

I already opened a ticket with Elementor’s support. I hope they will reach me out soon with a solution.

Thank you again for your help!

    Hi Igor,

the issue happens with whatever product on my end, even with the one you selected.

Here you can see the step with total less than 600 kr:

and then the step after the quantity update:

By the way, the issue happens on cart page; your screenshot seems to come from checkout page.

Anyway, I followed your instructions and disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and Flexible Shipping, and switched the theme to Storefront.

    Then:
    – I added this product https://staging.axaeco.se/product/arctic-axaeco-buffer/ to cart
    – went to cart page
    – changed the shipping to Sweden
    – changed product quantity to 4 (to exceed the free shipping threshold, which for Sweden is 54,5454545 €, that – if multicurrency is active – converts to 600 Kr)
=> The shipping information is correct and no extra fee is added.

    Next step:
    – I activated WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML String Translation and WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency (I think they are all connected, so it makes no sense to activate them one by one)
    – set language to Svenska
    – I added this product to cart https://staging.axaeco.se/sv/produkt/arctic-axaeco-buffer/
    – went to cart page
    – changed the shipping to Sverige (Sweden)
    – changed product quantity to 4 (to exceed the free shipping threshold of 600 Kr)
=> The shipping information is correct and no extra fee is added.

    Next step:
    – I activated Elementor (it’s the next plugin that I need as a bare minimum for my site to work)
    – set language to Svenska
    – I added this product to cart https://staging.axaeco.se/sv/produkt/arctic-axaeco-buffer/
    – went to cart page
    – cart page is empty

    Next step:
    – I activated Elementor PRO too
    – I added this product to cart https://staging.axaeco.se/sv/produkt/arctic-axaeco-buffer/
    – went to cart page
    – changed the shipping to Sverige (Sweden)
    – changed product quantity to 4 (to exceed the free shipping threshold of 600 Kr)
=> The wrong extra fee is added!!!

What do you think about this?
What next steps do you recommend?

    Thank you!

Thank you! I’m trying to contact you from the support form at the link you provided, but I don’t have an active subscription and if I click on “resubscribe?if you do not own a valid subscription at the moment” there is only the login option. How can I do?

    Thank you

I don’t think there are any. There is no wp-content/mu-plugins directory…

    Hello,

    I’m doing some testing.

I deactivated all plugins except the required ones:
    – Elementor
    – Elementor PRO
    – WooCommerce
    – WooCommerce Multilingual and Multicurrency
    – WPML
    – Flexible Shipping

Nothing changes and the problem persists (even disabling Elementor PRO too).

Then, with only those plugins enabled, I tried switching to different themes.

I’m using a child theme of a commercial theme (I don’t know if I can mention it here) with some customizations, so:

    1. I switched to the parent theme -> Nothing changes and the problem persists.
    2. I switched to Storefront theme (it’s made by WooCommerce developers, so I think it’s good for testing) -> Nothing changes and the problem persists.
    3. I switched to Twenty Twenty-Three -> The problem disappears.

At this point I think it can be a theme issue, but I don’t know where to look to solve it. Moreover, I find it strange that the issue persists with different themes (so the problem is not specific to my theme).

    Do you have any hint?
