Sorry, rephrase that…

There is the SECRET KEY but in the later versions of config.php there are 3 different KEYS.

So, I have the 2.5.1 config.php file with SECRET KEY set up

Yes, I realised that I was using the wrong version of config.php which had the SECRET CODE stuff on it.

I believe in the 2.5.1 there was none of the SECRET CODE in config.php

Since that time I have deleted the original database, created a new database and reinstalled WP.

Now it simply comes up with db error yet it is all in place, the db is active and running but I cannot use wp-admin/install.php to get the damn thing up and running again because of this db problem.

Just completely stuck now!!

I thought it would be a little more complex that the original reply as I believe WordPress uses static locations?

Anyway, I think that this is a little beyond my skill level so if there is anyone out there who would like to help me do this I would appreciate it. Paid if necessary.
