UPS shipping is not part of the core plugin. You’ll need to add this functionality with an extension like UPS Shipping Method.

The document you are referencing refers to the Premium Plugin WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping. The extension allows you to choose how to calculate the shipping costs when more than one options are in the cart, e.g. per class or per product.

It looks like you found a solution with a sliding sidebar that shows the products in the cart. In general, these kind of features are directed by the theme or can be added via a dedicated plugin. It is not part of the core WooCommerce plugin.

Which version of WooCommerce are you using currently? Can you check that you are running MySQL 5.6 or higher and PHP 7.0 or higher?

It looks like checkout is still stalling on your site. Given that the product is not a physical product, you are still asking for shipping details. Have a look at the documentation for virtual products to avoid asking for shipping details when these are not needed: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/#section-5

Regarding the stalling checkout, can you disable any payment plugins you might be using and check if this solves the problem? In this case you know which plugin author to contact.
