You can do it by copying a few lines of CSS code. For that,
1. Login to your WordPress website as an admin and go to Appearance > Customize
2. Look for Additional CSS / Custom CSS at the bottom of the theme options
3. Copy the following code and paste it inside the box without removing the existing code (if any)input.es_required_field.es_txt_email { width: 205px !important; }

Currently, it is not possible to restrict newsletters based on post author, but you can exclude certain categories and post types.
