Thanks for the info. I have another issue that I will be happy to put up on a new thread, but is there any reason why the spreadsheet would not load if it is greater than X number of lines? I have a 4,200 line spreadsheet (8 columns) and it loaded fine before when it was just a few dozen lines but now my page will not even open.

I take it back…the updates do appear but it take several minutes to show up.

I finally got this to work after spending an hour on something that should have taken me a minute, but I do not know why it wouldn’t take as this has been an issue in the past and I don’t want to waste this time again.

I ended up deleting the image and then adding it back on the page and then updating the settings again..and for some unknown reason it worked after sever times. There is definitely a bug here somewhere.

Any idea why these setting do not take?

Thanks for your responses esmi and Craig. I think I am going to do this:

– Create two posts…one is password protected (subscribers will get that password via email) which includes the full-length interview, the second is unprotected, and includes the short interview.
– The unprotected post will be the short interview, with links directing the reader to the full-length interview, and letting them know they need to subscribe to receive the password via email.

If anybody knows a way to collapse content in a single post, and make the collapsed portion password protected, that would be ideal so I don’t have to create two posts.

thanks nithou, but my page does not require log-ins. my email subscribers are people who have just signed up to receive my email newsletter. I’m not sure how this would differentiate non-subscribers from subscribers.

And I also added the following to add space above and below the image

alchymyth, Thanks! It was the Social Sharing Icons plugin and the WP_Typography plugin that were causing the issue. I deactivated them one by one until I found the typography plugin causing the trouble.

ahortin, Thanks, this worked well. The issue I have now is that my media is still sized based on a sidebar format, so that the featured image does not resize to the full width of my post. Any simple solutions for this?

Paul, I think I can follow your steps in your first response. I am fairly novice, and just learned how to make a child theme, so I will give it a shot and let you know if it works. Thanks!! -Russ
