Thanks, Marcin, I’ve just tried this mu-plugins and ensured that it is called.

Again, I do not see a changed “og:image” meta tag value on my resulting page.

I get a feeling that I’m completely misunderstanding the concept of what the filters seem to do.

Will try to read your documentation again now.

The solution was to modify the

Options +MultiViews

and change it to

Options -MultiViews

in my Apache configuration file.

Now my “favicon” slug URL works perfectly.

My workaround is now to move the “favicon.ico” to another folder and specify it explicitely in the “head.php” of the theme like e.g.:

<link 
    rel="shortcut icon" 
    type="image/x-icon" 
    href="/wp-content/themes/twentyfifteen/favicon.ico">

The error is gone, if I delete the physical favicon.ico file in the root of my WordPress website.

Update:

– I’m running Apache on a Windows Server 2012, just in case this matters.
– I do have no root folder called favicon in my WordPress site.
– In my Apache httpd.conf there is no occurrence of the word “favicon”.
– On a totally different Windows Server 2012 with a WordPress blog, the same erroneous behaviour occurred.

I just run Process Monitor while updating UpdraftPlus but it lead to no meaningful results.

Me, too (Windows Server 2012 with Apache and MySQL)!

Enabling Maintenance mode…

Updating Plugin UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore (1/1)

This hangs forever.

Deleting the “.maintenance” file on my blog’s root folder resolves at least the hanging public website.

Still, UpdraftPlus does not install.

All other plugins install successfully.

This is awesome! Thanks a lot!

This is a feature I am looking for, too. Any ideas?
