• Hello!

    Hello!

I’ve been using Elementor for the past three years, and it has definitely made my life easier. However, I’ve noticed that it gives me very low security scores on Mozilla Observatory. For example, my site received an F rating despite following standard security practices.

I came across a review titled “Don’t use this. It will kill your SEO Score,” which mentioned that websites claiming to have good scores actually have Mozilla Observatory ratings ranging from F to D minus. This has made me concerned about the long-term impact on my site’s security and SEO.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Are there any recommended steps to improve security scores while using Elementor? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hello!

Thank you for sharing your experience with Elementor. We’re glad to hear that it has made your life easier, but we understand your concerns about the security scores on Mozilla Observatory.

Security is a top priority for us, and we continuously work to ensure that Elementor is as secure as possible. However, some factors affecting security scores can be related to server configurations and other third-party integrations beyond our direct control.

To improve your site’s security score while using Elementor, here are a few recommended steps:

    1. Update Regularly: Ensure that your Elementor plugin, themes, and all other plugins are updated to their latest versions.
    2. Use HTTPS: Make sure your site is using HTTPS to secure communications between the server and visitors.
    3. Security Plugins: Consider using security plugins like Wordfence or Sucuri to enhance your site’s security.
    4. Server Configuration: Work with your hosting provider to ensure that your server is configured correctly for security best practices.

We also recommend reaching out to our support team at https://elementor.com/support/ for more tailored advice and assistance. They can provide insights specific to your site and help address any security concerns.

We appreciate your feedback and are committed to ensuring that Elementor continues to provide a secure and effective tool for building websites. If anyone else has experiences or tips to share, please feel free to contribute to this discussion.

Thank you again for your dedication and for bringing this to our attention.

    Hi @luisrelementor ,

    Thanks for your response.

I’m using a Cloudways server with a decent configuration and perform regular monthly maintenance to ensure all plugins are updated. We also use HTTPS for secure communications. For security, we use ShieldPRO, which is configured to have an A score.

I’ll reach out to Elementor support for further assistance and will let you know how it goes.

    Thank you!
