3) I did it via FTP. It disabled all my plugins. Still the same problem. Plugins re-activated.

1) I mass deactivated all the plugins, cleared cache/cookies tried in different browsers and still the same problem. I then re-activated the plugins.

2) Is the Twenty Ten theme the default WP theme? I remember that when I changed theme, I had to reset all my widgets!! I would like to avoid chaning the theme and then I will have my sidebar empty ??
Is there a way to test a new theme without changing it or to have the sidebar widgets saved/still there?

The upload path box is empty: default -> wp-content/uploads

Both featured image & images that do not show if the Featured image is ON have been uploaded using the standard procedure.

Featured image: I have uploaded the logo.png using the “add image” button on the page edit, and set that image as featured.
Image that do not show if the featured image is ON: I have uploaded in the standard way as the featured image. I have also tried to add an image via URL (without uploading) and it behaves in the same way – same problem

Isn’t it a bug?
It’s very strange that the img src stuff disappears in the HTML sent to the browser.

I am not an expert, but I was similarly hacked several times.

I just searched for all the new files or modified files. For sure somewhere in your site there are other hacked files with eval…. there will be also new files with some code inside.
Search for new and newly edited files and look at them.
Clean the .php files that have uncommon code “eval” inside.. and of course delete other strange files that you did not upload. Usually they are in the root.

yes, it would be nice to know whether it was cause by a plugin in dcpaley’ case. I have tried to contact the autor of similar-posts, but no answer.
Dcpaley, should the issue be resolved, please say if you are using the English WordPress or a localized version.
