In reply to: [Kimili Flash Embed] Not working since WordPress 4.0.1 updateHi, have just downloaded Kimili. When I use the plugin to embed the swf, it only turns up a white space. Am using normal code to embed the movie but it doesn’t call on the XML file. All WP forums I’d googled wrt swf files calling on external XML files said to use Kimili but I can’t get Kimili to even show the swf file properly.
https://www.urbanenomads.com/fortune-sticks-where-should-i-go/without Kimili flash embed as I don’t want the white space. Why isn’t the XML file loading? The XML file is in the root directory of the site, I believe, the same place where index.php is located..
John, you are right! It was the widget cache. I’d disabled it and now its working fine again, except for the blog (a post type, instead of a custom post-type like the rest), which doesn’t seem to recognize the menu’s order:
https://www.urbanenomads.com/best-travel-instagrammers-you-might-have-never-heard-of/should be Home Page > Blog> blogpost
but that’s minor.
Thank you so much for solving this problem! Is there any way to get the widget cache to work with breadcrumbs?
Hi, was travelling and nothing has been changed on the site. There are no 404s now but the breadcrumbs are throwing up random combinations.
https://www.urbanenomads.com/tours/luxury-travel-china/
for example is showing the perfect breadcrumb trail, for Afghanistan.Everything under ‘press’ is now coming under ‘bespoke section’.
As for the related posts plugin, there’s enough content and the categories are encompassing enough to ensure that there’s always related content available. Also, I’d tried disabling it to make sure it’s not causing the problem but the confused breadcrumb trails remain:(

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] longer page load times when minify is enabledHi Destac,
I’d already removed these files above as they were slowing down my page’s load times. If you just want the general website it’s the name on my profile photo with a .com
thank you!
thank you for the reply. what should i do currently? also, just realized that most pages, not just the tours pages, are registering a 404:

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Minify long load times on first load after clearing cacheAm having the same issues. Have never been able to figure out minify settings properly. A site mentioned to choose ‘process’ for @import handling. Have tried auto with exclusions as well as manual but both settings create a much longer page load.
Hi, thank you for the reply. As I’d mentioned, I got the Breadcrumb Navxt Menu Magic and it works much better. Also removed the root parent page.
Most of the pages work now with the exception of the tours page, which chooses a page at random – last night, all the tours pages were linking to Kenya, this morning to Sri Lanka. Some of the tours pages are on a 404:
https://www.urbanenomads.com/tours/luxury-travel-laos/what could be causing this? it’s only the https://www.urbanenomads.com/luxury-tours-urbane-nomads/
pages.Have purchased the breadcrumb Navxt magic menu and it seems to include the order correctly. One curious thing is that for all the tours pages, the breadcrumbs only show ‘Home Page > Portfolio Parent > Category > Lebanon’
e.g. https://www.urbanenomads.com/tours/luxury-travel-bhutan/
the breadcrumbs should be Himalayas> Bhutan
not
Near East>LebanonAlso other categories keep referencing the same Portfolio parent page:
https://www.urbanenomads.com/tours/ttg-asia-travel-agent-conference/it should be Home>Press>Awards>Page
not Home> Portfolio Parent>Award>PageForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Breadcrumb NavXT] Remove "You are here"Stefan, the plugin that specifies ‘You are here’ is Yoast Breadcrumbs. You might still have that plugin installed.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Amazon Cloudfront CDN not working.Hi Frederick,
The problem seemed to be the separate Gzip plugin. Turning that off seemed to solve the problem. Didn’t like having the Gzip plugin turned off though so will only stick with Cloud Flare for the moment.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Amazon Cloudfront CDN not working.Thank you! Have nothing on the rejected user agent list but the debugging is a very good idea- will try that.
The CDN provider is telling me it’s because of Cloud Flare, which is strange given the write-ups on combining Cloud Flare and a CDN. I think it could be the way I’d configured caching from Cloud Flare…

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Amazon Cloudfront CDN not working.Could you please elaborate how you’d fixed it? I’m trying to configure W3TC for CDN but am finding that nothing is being served by the CDN. Had contacted MaxCDN customer support and the lady has confirmed that “w3 total-cache and CDN is already well-implemented” but I see nothing being served by CDN when I log on Pingdom.

which could be related to my problem as there were updates to certain plugins after the upgrade. Had tried deactivating the plugins one by one but nothing made a difference. Would like to think all the plugins are needed anyway
