In reply to: [Viral Social Sharing by Upshare] Requires registration that isn't availableIt looks like you have tried to sign up for the wrong type of user account. Instructions for webmasters to setup an account are here https://www.upshare.co/partners/sign_up, where it does not require a Facebook account to get the viral buttons setup on your site.
We also have a Beta waiting list for our rewards section, where end users who share through our viral buttons can get access to cool deals and it looks like you accidentally signed up for this instead. We’ve just made some changes to our site to make things clearer in the future.
If you get a chance to sign up and check out our buttons we would very much appreciate it if you could update your review on here. If you have any questions please do get in touch https://www.upshare.co/contact

In reply to: [Viral Social Media Buttons by Upshare] Share only ; LimitedHi Tiago,
Thanks so much for the early feedback here. These were a few isolated issues that have since been fixed.
You can now customize all the social media networks you want to display, as well as options like button size, shape, animation and more.
UPblog has also been fixed, and will appear wherever you choose on any of your blog posts ??
As far as follow buttons go – we’re working hard on those!!

In reply to: [Viral Social Sharing by Upshare] Not WorkingTo ensure the correct content displays within the sharing window we recommend setting Open Graph Meta tags for your site – https://cypressnorth.com/social-network-media-marketing/how-to-customize-preview-thumbnail-images-for-pages-on-your-website/
The social networks then use these to display appropriate preview images and descriptions when the share popups are rendered.

In reply to: [Viral Sharing Buttons by Upshare] issues with share buttons and moreSorry about the delay in getting back to you, we didn’t receive an email notification for your first comment.
LinkedIn – We can confirm the title is not correctly rendering, this is being fixed right away.
Google Plus – We are not able to recreate this issue, are you able to provide a link / screenshot where this occurs?
Facebook – Facebook is in control of the preview image to load. If you would like to show a different image than what Facebook load by default you can usimg the OG “og:image” meta tag. More info here https://davidwalsh.name/facebook-meta-tags
ID – We recently upgraded our account setup process and you are now no longer required to enter an ID to activate your account.
Mobile – Since the popup sharing windows are hosted and controlled by the social networks we have no ability to customize the experience and display a featured image. Its up to the network if they want to render this stuff on mobile devices.
Hi Starrychloe,
Sorry to hear you don’t enjoy having to log in to customize your sharing options. This seems to be the best way to do this at this point as there are a ton of other options we’re about to release to help you make your site more viral – your sharing icons are only the beginning. We hope that once these are released, this will make a lot more sense.
Also, it’s worth clarifying that we’re definitely not trying to replace social media managers with crowdsourcing. In fact, we’ve worked with a number of social media managers to develop UP (to address various pain points they have) and it’s our hope that UP makes a social media manager’s life a lot easier.
What UP does is provide users an incentive in the form of points to share content that they and their network love and will actually respond to. The more a user’s network interacts with what they share from your site, the more points they get – ensuring they get rewarded for spreading content rather than spamming.
Nothing – and I repeat – NOTHING that UP does is attempting to pay anyone any less for what they do. Instead, we’re hoping to reward your users for something that you would otherwise ask them to do for free, which is spread your content to their friends, which in effect would make a social media manager even more effective than they’d otherwise be without UP as your users’ share and reshare rates will increase once they know they get something for sparking and engaging in the social conversation.
Does this make more sense?
I hope that your review of UP was after briefly reading some of our explanations on WordPress, and not from your experience with the site itself. Either way, we’re obviously not doing as good of a job as we thought of explaining things clearly, so rest assured we’ll work hard to address this moving forward so nobody else gets the wrong idea of what we’re trying to do.

In reply to: [Viral Sharing Buttons by Upshare] Code generated on top of pageThanks for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately we’re having problems recreating your issue. Which version of WordPress are you on? Is there any chance you could take a screenshot and email it to partners [at] upshare.co. Thank you kindly

In reply to: [Viral Sharing Buttons by Upshare] Adsense compatible?Hey Ramon,
A great question. I’m afraid at the moment the sharing buttons are only available at the Left, Right and Bottom of the screen. But soon we plan to add buttons above and below posts as well as support to add links next to Adsense units.
