Ok, I see after the fact that there has been some discussion on this before. I searched for “& lt;pre” instead of <pre to find the previous conversations.

Anyways, is there any update on this issue?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. My question relates to WordPress, not this forum. What I found is even with the <pre> tags, Texturize wants to insert <p> tags in where it thinks paragraphs occurs. It also did not deal with ‘<>’ very well.

Ok, I get the encoder thing. But why doesn’t the <pre> tag work?

Recent Microsoft patches cause IE not to accept cookies from domains with non-compliant RFC characters (like underscore). See:

Update:
A recent security patch in IE will not allow cookies to be set from non-compliant RFC host names. That means IE will not accept cookies from host names with underscores. Here’s a link to a newsgroup article that explains the problem.
