Thank you very much for the kindly feedback. This makes me very happy. Regarding the feature request saving toots as WordPress posts, I want to be honest. Unfortunately I can not deliver this. It was a conscious decision to separate the toot data from the WordPress data for various reasons. I hope you still get some benefits from the plugin.

Hello Todd.

Sorry that you had difficulties in setting up this plugin.

To be honest, I have put a lot of work into the documentation. For example, there is a step by step setup manual at the plugin page at www.remarpro.com.

Account ID is not related to the Mastodon API. That is why this setting is assigned to the Plugin Basic Settings Section. But in general, there is no right or wrong, but different perspectives how things can be structured.

By the way, there is need to search for the Account ID on the Mastodon instance. You can easily retrieve the Account ID via the TootPress plugin in the WordPress Backend (Tools/Toots).

Thank you for your feedback.

Best Regards

Hello Munyard.

Thank you very much for your feedback, request and interest.

For next year I want to extend the support by the following formats: galleries, polls and video. So your feature request is already on my list.

But I am not sure, about the best approach to integrate video, because most of the hosting environments are not optimized for that. Maybe I will come up with a lightweight solution in the first step.

Thank you for your offering for donation. This is not required. You can come back with that, if the final implementation match your expectation.

Best Regards

Sorry for the late reply.

In general, the plugin is currently designed to work with only one mastodon instance at once.

Nevertheless, if you have loaded toots from instance A, and change the settings to instance B later, your toots from instance A will not be deleted. And it could be (!) the case, that it will work without any issues. But I have never tested it. If you have a wordpress test environment, just try it out.

This scenario is on my list, to work it out.

Thank you for providing the update.
I can confirm, that the fix is working.

I am glad, that I do not only make work for support, and could contribute to the plugin with an error report. ??

It seems that this is not working.
Blog and Video Source are having the same domain.

Example Page:
https://www.unmus.de/batmobile-verfolgungsjagd-mit-dem-joker/

Used Code (in Classic Editor):

The video shortcode above is within a div tag.

Okay. Using a filter to change the output is fine for me. I will try it out with the filter you have proposed. Thank you again for fast reply.

Hello David.

Sorry for the last answer. I have forgotten to subscribe the threads of the plugin forum.

It’s hard to say now, what was the root cause of the wrong redirect to the tootpress main page. The plugin adds some additional rewrite rules to WordPress for the paging process. Maybe it was a caching issue that the old rules were further applied. Maybe the rewrite rules refresh triggerd by the plugin is not working properly. I will keep an eye on this.

Thanks for notice, what you have modified in the plugin. Perhaps it a good idea to provide some filters, that all user can define their own indidual output.

I think you are aware that you have to do these changes again, when a new plugin update is available. Just this week I have released one including a minor bugfix. A hint for you: Just replace the files readme.txt, tootpress.php and tootpress_options.php. Then you have all changes of the update in and prevent overwrite of your modifications.

At least, TootPress looks great on your page!

Best Regards

Thank you for fast reply. I have see the option to maintain the first sentence in the plugin settings. That is fine. But what about the second sentence “Erfahre mehr in der?Datenschutzerkl?rung?von YouTube.” including the Link? The link itself is also maintainable in the plugin settings. But there is no option to define the words before and after. Do you have an filter for that?

Hello @artgoddess.

Currently I cannot reproduce the error with my wordpress instance, which matches your environment in the versions of WordPress, PHP and the plugin.

I assume the error will not caused by the amount of tweets displayed on the page. The warning indicates on a function, which is responsible to prepare the rendering of tweets with images. So I think, there is an issue with some of your tweets with images. If you reduce the number of tweets to 20 on one page, you should get the error on one of the next mathilda pages. Could you check this?

As next step I will load your provided data into my environment. Hopefully I can it reproduce it then. Please give me some time for this. The next days I am overloaded with other obligations. But perspectivly end of the months I will analyse it further.

Thank you again for reporting.
