Found it bzworkz! You led me in the right direction. Disabled Google CAPTCHA and test with several logins/permission levels. Same results. Reactivated Google CAPTCHA and removed my pre load page in my theme settings. BINGO! Something about the pre load page was occasionally hanging up. Resolved.

Thanks for all the replies! All of you helped me get out of the mental box that I had put myself into by overthinking it, the images in question are all thumbnails, so there would not be any need for fancy foot work to cause the change from occurring, so I am gonna give it a shot with one to see what happens. THANKS for the leads y’all!!

Figured out the first question. I did not have my ‘Page, Links and Views’ in Directorist pointing to the correct places.

Still working on figuring out question #2, and #3, and I have no control over question #4.
