Ok!

I’ve realised that the cookie plugin we’re using was set so that ‘Marketing’ cookies/scripts were switched off by default, and that the recaptcha script was therefore blocked from ever loading.

I hope this is useful to someone else out there.

I can see that although the link to the script is present in the page:
<link href="https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?ver=5.2.4" rel="preload" as="script">

the script is not being loaded.

That’s great!
As I mentioned, it’s a far from perfect solution for including srcsets.

I apologise – I’ve realised that this is an issue with Postie.
