Found the problem. It was the WCS Custom Permalinks Hotfix that was used to fix 404 issues when WP.3.1.1 came out. It took several times of activating and re-activating to get the problem to clear up.

Ok, the Twenty Eleven theme has been activated, and all plugins have been deactivated.

I switched the theme to Twenty Eleven, and also reset plugins via PhpMyAdmin, and problem still occurred.

Is this being generated by the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin?

esmi, I tried all of your suggestions with no success. I also upgraded to 2.8.2, but still get the problem.

The only changes made during the last several weeks were some plugin updates (All in One SEO Pack, Google XML sitemaps, Robots Meta), and the 2.5 upgrade. It was just last week that it was discovered that the Category links no longer work. Not sure if those upgrades triggered the problem. The link to the blog is https://www.thewealthydentist.com/blog/

I put the categories filter in the default-filters.php file, but it did not work. Does it go somewhere else?
