Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: block editor keep crashing when add/edit page or postI have trying to find a solution for days – disabling plugins and theme, clearing the website cache to no avail – and then I found this post – thank you – I was using Chrome and switched to Firefox and that did the trick. I also cleared the server cache. After making website changes (adding a page), I checked the website on Chrome again and I am still receiving the same error.

In reply to: [Genesis Blocks] Fatal errors after update to 3.0.1I can report the same issue. I came here to see what solutions are being offered. Upgrading to 8.1 broke sites using some of the older Genesis themes. So I rolled back the PHP back to 7.4 and then Genesis Blocks to 3.0. Also, imo, requiring a different version of PHP is a major revision, not a minor revision.

In reply to: [Gravity Forms Zero Spam] Entries going to trash@gravityview Thanks for your reply. Perhaps there was a conflict with another anti-spam plugin – all I know is when I disabled the Gravity Anti-spam the problem stopped. There was not an Entry Automation add-on – I have since switched everything up so I can no longer test. Thanks.

In reply to: [Photo Gallery by 10Web - Mobile-Friendly Image Gallery] E_COMPILE_ERRORI had a similar error and the message: The site is experiencing technical difficulties. I recently updated the plugin from an older version – I figured out the short codes needed to be updated.

In reply to: [WP-Forge] Theme version and updatesThank you, I really appreciate your feedback! Interesting about the version – you are probably right which makes me believe an update may not work. I will test the update on a dev site first.

In reply to: [WP-Forge] Theme version and updates@tsquez Thanks for your reply, but what I didn’t understand was the version number – I do not see a Version 99 in the changelog? The theme is not showing updates needed, but since the site has outdated software, I assume there must be an update needed. Should I be able to replace the theme Version 99 with version 6.5.3?
We never purchased a premium version – however, it looks as the plugin received an auto-update today and now is showing that it is plugin Version 1.5.29!
So the problem has been corrected, no vulnerabilities found, and the gallery page looks good.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Malware found@donncha Thanks for your reply – the site was restored – all plugins and themes installed are updated and reputable – still not sure how the hack occurred. I saw in another post that the plugin was leaving stray .php – Security plugins (Wordfence and Shield) have found unrecognizable files in my sites – “wp-admin/.php” – I am guessing this is from the super cache plugin and that the recent update fixed that problem.

Thanks @supporthero for your feedback – those were the only files Bluehost found in their scans. Plugins were all updated and reputable – none that have been recently compromised.

I had the same issue, all redirects are gone. Perhaps it was when the site was moved to https since both sites have recently been moved.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Leaves shortcodes on deactivateWhat kind of program do you have? I may be interested. There are many shortcodes left over.
You could create an album of all of the galleries and place that on your gallery page.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Suspected malware URL in readme.txtWordFence said it was on a Google Blacklist, but I just checked and it must not be any longer. Thanks for the feedback.
