Well I am a novice to php but I can think of a third solution (imho suiting all ;)) – can the plugin be made to use an own library and not to require any pre-installed components?

Well I can as well use the built-in dictionary of open office (or any text redactor) and just copy-paste the text, but I preffer to have the freedom of checking my spelling from anywhere.
I hope there will be a simple solution to help all of us illiterates ??

Are there any ways to overcome the problem?

I installed the plugin but I get blank screen when pressing the spellign button. My ISP told me that executables are banned on the server
They said that I can onbly run it as php module – could this be the problem?

I want to show 5 posts on my index page and let’s say 100 posts on category pages, but if I set ‘show at most’ to be 5 it applies to all pages.

well in fact I changed $tablename to $wpdb an it worked

no one had such troubles with the plugin?
well in case some gots such the answer is compatibiblity – i am running wp 1.5 and the plugin was written for 1.2 – some minor changes in the code were needed –

Problem solved
Sorry for disbelieving, but I could make everithing work fine just after using the buil-in file editor in wordpress.
I just could not figure out why any other software – notepad and notepad++ inluding – were so prompt to add hidden symbols…

I had several times the same problem – it is indeed those ugly characters appearing from nowhere
the best solution for me was to use the built-it file editor in wordpress

I still could not solve the problem:( The strange part is that the calendar is displayed as I want it on the blog and the errors appear only in the login
I am using 1.5 if it matters

Thanks for the answers – I double checked – there are no extra spaces etc.
Could it be from misinterpretation of the cyrillic caracters?
