In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError@banec We use WP Rollback – always a good plugin to have in reserve.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError@lopo Just a follow up that our host (BigScoots) also now has a warning message in the dashboard:
“Do not upgrade Yoast to 21.9 if you also run WP Recipe Maker. Doing so may cause your posts to fail to load their content. If you’ve already upgraded, please reach out to support for assistance with a downgrade.”Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Fatal error: Uncaught TypeErrorWe also had this problem and rolling back to the previous version of Yoast solved the issue. We also don’t use anything at all relating to WooCommerce.
We do, however, use the WP Recipe Maker plugin and, since Yoast updated, they have also updated their plugin with the changelog saying:
“Fix: Error caused by Yoast SEO suddenly removing constant”
Hopefully that might help troubleshoot?Hi James,
Thanks for getting back to me anyway. Interestingly, ads did start to appear on AMP pages around about last weekend – but they started to dwindle again yesterday and have dried up completely again today. No idea why because nothing much has changed on our side.
I can see 5 ads on the non-AMP version of the long post you linked to – and we haven’t had a noticeable drop in impressions on non-AMP URLs. So at least with transitional mode we are earning some Adsense revenue, unlike when we were in standard mode. Shame, though, as I’d love to get everything working in standard mode ??
If it doesn’t resolve in the next few days I’ll reach out to official support as per your suggestion.
Thanks again – and have a great weekend!
Another update…
I’ve just tried switching to Transitional and ads have started to appear again on non-amp pages but not on AMP versions (except for the manual ad in the sidebar)
I doubt the Content Views plugin can be the issue tbh – and I could probably find alternative solutions to do the same job, if it was.
Which validation errors can you still see? When I view our site, I can see in the top nav bar that the AMP plugin has a yellow exclamation mark with 3 issues. But, if I click that, it says that all issues are resolved.
Likewise, if I click the ‘Error Index’ from the WP sidebar, the page says ‘No validation errors found’. What can you see that I can’t, I wonder?
And, yes, I can confirm that Auto ads are enabled at Adsense level for the domain.
Great, thanks James.
Just to let you know what I’ve been up to so far…
I suppressed the WP Fastest Cache plugin in the AMP settings – no different
There were a few other plugins showing errors there too, so I suppressed all of those too – still no differentOne of those plugins with errors was the ‘Content Views’ plugin which we use on our Turkish Recipes page. Since the plugin was suppressed in AMP I changed that page to be a non-AMP version – and ads started showing up quite quickly. So I’m guessing that means it’s a problem just with Site Kit getting the snippet live on the AMP version, for some reason.
I’ve fixed lots of AMP validation errors – most were code for Amazon Native Ads and Mailchimp Popup form (I’ve removed those completely for now, to rule them in or out)
I’ve added a manual AMP unit as a sidebar widget. The sidebar isn’t sitewide but you should be able to see it on the homepage (for now) and it appears to be serving ads without any problem.
I haven’t tried changing to transitional mode yet, since it seems like we are proving that the problem is only on our AMP version, but I can try that tomorrow if you think it might help?
Once again, thanks so much as I wouldn’t be able to troubleshoot so easily without your help.
Cheers!
Barry

Many thanks for your help again ??
I’ve just shared our Site Health info via the form – and all looks to be good with Adsense, both in Site Health and in our Adsense account too. Our site is marked as ready, and in Ads > Overview > ‘Let Google Place Ads For You’ section it says that AMP is on, Auto Ads are on and Page Exclusions are 0.
However, if I click ‘Edit’ to get to the ‘Ad Settings Preview | turkeysforlife.com’ page, it says 0 in-page ads with a red warning button saying ‘Get Code’ next to it. There’s also an info bar above saying ‘Looks like you’ve got an AMP site. Make sure that you’re using Auto ads for AMP.’
So it seems like everything is good, except that the snippet isn’t being inserted, or isn’t being inserted correctly, at least.
I’ll try your other suggestions throughout the day and update here soon. Although, to suppress WP Fastest Cache on AMP pages on an all-AMP site would leave us with no caching at all, right?
Many thanks again!
Barry

In reply to: [AMP] Mobile Redirection – AMP With Cloudflare@shetheliving We are back to using Weston’s plugin solution as that seems best, although still not perfect.
You can mark this resolved if you like, though…

In reply to: [AMP] Mobile Redirection – AMP With CloudflareHmmm, no that seems to have made things worse, unfortunately @milindmore22
It now seems to be redirecting mobile traffic to the WP login page – and Page Speed Insights still can’t see the redirect.
I’ll revert back to previous settings for now.
Thanks for trying to help though!

In reply to: [AMP] Mobile Redirection – AMP With CloudflareOh, okay @milindmore22 thanks again.
What does that code snippet do, in addition to the plugin I used, which I think only adds: add_filter( ‘amp_mobile_client_side_redirection’, ‘__return_false’ );
Also, I’m guessing I would then need to remove this plugin, yes?

In reply to: [AMP] Mobile Redirection – AMP With CloudflareThanks @milindmore22
I’m using server-side mobile redirection via this plugin. I presumed it worked without making any changes, no?
The ‘Redirect mobile visitors to AMP’ in the Advanced Settings of backend is still switched on though. Do I need to switch that off?
And how would I make sure that the redirection script is excluded from modifications and not deferred loaded?

In reply to: [AMP] There are scripts in the page using different release versionsWe saw some of these too, so reverted to the previous version of the AMP plugin. After clearing cache the errors disappeared.
