    Thank you. I did not know about the quote block.

    I have not tried your font change, because I do not understand WHERE to put the code you shared with me.

    Also, unfortunately, there is some default theme code that is putting too much space between the quote and the source name.

    And the source name is in italics by default and I cannot make that go away.

    Any idea how I might override that spacing or itlaics?

    The JetPack Tool Bar was IT! I guess it turned on in a recent update, probably the same day I got the new WordPress update.

    This is what I see when I am in the new WordPress.

    I am using 7.2.33.

    Could this be related?

    Thank you Steven.

    This is what I see when I am in the new Word Press, (see link to image below).

    The top bar shows My Sites, Reader, and then nothing for the full width of the site. On the far side is Write, my icon, and the Bell icon.

    I am missing the icon of the Dial that has a little menu under it, the Customize icon, the Updates icon, Comments, Edit Page, Yoast, Delete Cache, Stats

    But I have discovered that they are NOT missing on my site onemanz.com. But they are missing on the sub-site onemanz.com/guitar and my other site tspguitar.com, which is not a subsite of onemanz.com. All sites are hosted by the same company.

    Thanks. I will look into it. I use the Inspect to see such things. But I still want access to MY style sheet of MY website, without having to download it from internet.

    I realize this is not exclusive to my current issue. Microsoft has been doing this with Office and Windows for years now, locking away basic administrator tools from the license owner, even when they are the only administrator and sole user of the product.

    It is not just annoying, it is offensive.

    Be that as it may, not being able to get to the actual style sheet to browse through the details of how it is set up, so I get some idea of what I want to say in the “additional CSS” when other themes let me in, makes all the difference.

    Thanks. Apparently my theme is holding my actual style sheet hostage. I only learned today some themes will not allow access to the actual css, unless you pay money. So I am dumping the theme ASAP.

    Thank you Mateo and Krystle!

    Those both accomplish what I want, but I am unsure what the specific differences may be.

    Now that I have space between my lines, thank you very much, I need to reduce the space between the paragraphs, but also some other aspects on all pages and posts.

    Can one of you or someone please tell me how to reduce space below (or above) the following:

    Page Tile
    Individual Heading Styles (h1, h2, etc.)
    Paragraph style

    Let me know if I put the suggested code in Customize/Additional CSS, or if I should be changing certain parameters in the Style Sheet itself.

    Thank you.

    Your code did the trick. At first it looked like it only did it in the customer and would not do it in the actual published site.

    But that was because it was cached!

    Thanks so much!

    PS, you could not find the 18px because I changed it back to 32 when nothing was working. But that too was the cache issue. I changed it from 22 to 20 and like the look.

    thanks very much Lisa!

    I will check it out. I also just discovered theme Gillian that I am going to play around with too, thanks to Steve’s suggestion, which sent me back to looking at other themes in the repository.

    Thanks Steve, for the quick reply.

    That is where I discovered both of these themes. And played with them a lot before finding out that the one is completely unsupported without paying and the other does to seem to allow for a banner rather than a boring gray bar.

    So I was hoping someone might have a theme they could recommend from experience and actually using such themes.

    Awesome. Thanks!

    My settings DO look like that.

    But older versions had more options underneath, including a specific size limit option where the user could set it to whatever they wanted. (Screens shots are out there on the internet that show that now missing feature.)

    My host is Dreamhost. I also have a ticket open with them, in case the upgrade to 4.7.1 is coincidental and not related to the size limit.

    My full plug in list is:
    Advanced WP Columns
    Akismet
    Chartbeat
    Hellow Dolly
    Hotfix
    Jetpack
    MediaElements.js – HTML5 Audio and Video
    WP Super Cache
    Yoast SEO

    Thanks for the wp-config.php instructions! I will give it a try.

    Off topic, but is that also where I would change the font for my Heading Styles? I like my theme, but it is unsupported and there is no interface setting to change the fonts. The headings are a different, fancier serf font from the body text and sort of annoying.

    Thank you for the quick response.

    I have never been in the config or done any coding. But I will look into it. Do I need to add that code somewhere specific, or just at the end of what is already there?

    This did happen at the upgrade to 4.7.1

    My hosting service does not appear to be involved at all.

    Under Settings/Media the option to change the maximum size limit for an image has been removed.

    In fact, ALL options have been removed from Media Settings, except for those relating to the default size of Thumbnail, Medium, and Large images. Changing those sizes have no impact on the new upload limit.

    My only plugins are those that come with the JetPack cluster, which is a freeby with my hosting service.

    Can anyone else see if their Media Settings are also missing in 4.7.1?

    Is it possible to revert to an earlier version of WordPress to see if it corrects the issue?

    Thanks

    Custom sidebars DO NOT APPEAR ON STATIC PAGES. Only the Primary and Secondary bars appear the moment I have a Static front page and a Static post page. And the Post Page ignores all the requests to put the toolbars on one side or the other, only the default 3 column with center content will appear in the post page.

    I repeat, ALL CUSTOM SIDEBARS are IGNORED by the home page and post page if they are static.

    Thanks

    I THOUGHT I managed it by pasting some code from the responsive.css into my style.css, which listed the widths of the sidebars.

    But no it did not actually work once I updated the site.

    So I changed the set up to put both sidebars on the right side and THAT actually puts the video bar on the extreme right where it belongs.

    So I will leave it at that for now.

    The site by the way is tspguitar.com

    I still need to change the size of the Tag Line in the header.

    Here is the code I was trying to manipulate – showing the width of Side Bar 2, which appears on the right side when in a 2-bar-middle-content set up.

    Just in case anyone has a way to use the code to change the width.

    I changed the widths from 260px to 340px and it actually looked like it changed it in my demo. But when I published it did not actually work.

    Here is an example of the code I found showing the color and width of 2nd Sidebar, which is on the right side.

    I have made the section where it shows color and width in Bold and Italics.

    /* ————————————————————————- *
    * Toggle Sidebar s2 : 1200px > 480px
    /* ————————————————————————- */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 1200px) {

    .container { padding: 0 10px; }

    /* s2 general */
    .s2 { width: 50px; }
    .s2 .sidebar-content { display: none; float: left; width: 100%; }
    .s2 .sidebar-toggle { display: block; }

    /* s2 expand/collapse */
    .s2-expand .s2 { background: #f0f0f0; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; width: 260px; margin: 0!important; z-index: 9; overflow: auto;
    -moz-transition: width .2s ease; -webkit-transition: width .2s ease; transition: width .2s ease; }
    .s2-expand .s2 .sidebar-content { display: block; min-width: 260px; }
    .s2-collapse .s2 .sidebar-content { display: none; }

    There is more code that also needed the numbers changed from 260 to 340. But it no affect.

    Thanks
