In reply to: [Connect Polylang for Elementor] Polylang + Latest E Pro VersionWill there be an update that we can just install as a normal update within wp-admin? Also, I promised a bounty for someone fixing this and when I can update from wp-admin I would gladly stand by my promise, so let me know a paypal-address to get that sorted.
I tried WPML. The philosophy is completely different. In Polylang we have separate pages for the languages. Not so in WPML. You are supposed to piece together a translation from all of the elements separately and not in a page-context but from a huge list of elements (and id’s). For me, over 1000 of them and my site is small.
Example: if you have a tabbed element in your page, each tab header is a separate object to translate. If you have rich text in the tab content field, well, you are going to edit that without WYSIWYG or preview.
If you are writing a book, then WPML is for you. If you are designing a web page – forget about it.
Yes. This actually works and is repetable.
When the templates for your multilingual page are screwed (and they are immediately when you touch something) I do like this:
– Deactivate Polylang
– Got to Templates -> Saved Templates -> All
– Choose the first language template and edit with Elementor
– While in Elementor, apply it to the Category you wish
– Exit Elementor
– Repeat for the template for the second language
– Re-enable PolylangThis sucks and I hate it.
