I’ve explained why we can’t process excerpts (which are normally text-only) in your support thread here.

However, if your theme uses Featured Images on the home page, you could run the Image Teleporter, and then use another plugin to take the first image in every post and make it automatically the Featured Image. That would allow you to show an image with each excerpt on your home page.

I’ve done this two-step process myself on sites for my clients, and it’s worked very well.

The reason why we can’t make it work on excerpts is because even if we processed excerpts, you’d end up with duplicate images in your Media Library.

There are ways to make the images appear with your excerpts without actually putting images into the excerpts (which normally get stripped out, as post excerpts are normally text-only, traditionally).

How are you currently showing images within the excerpts? Are you using a plugin that makes it possible?

The suggested way to achieve this is by using the Featured Image with your excerpt. You can automate this by using a plugin that automatically selects the first image of each post and makes it the featured image. If you use a theme that shows featured images with the excerpts, this works very well.
