triplemaya

Making text “The Personal World” be a link. Highlight text. Ctrl K. Type in the name of the page. Does not come up with the page in the suggestion box.
It always used to find the correct page.
Now it suggests a whole lot of other pages, but not the one with the name I typed!

That is not the issue.

Why does the interface fail to find the correct page?
It just suggests a whole lot of other pages, but not the one with the name I typed!

Any ideas?

For paragraphs with just
<p> … </p>
it does not do it
but for paras with
<p><span style=”font-size: 14pt;”> … </span><span style=”font-size: 14pt;”><br></span></p>
it does

New problem! The interface has started highlighting a section of the block I am working on. This is worse! Can someone please tell me why it is doing this and how to switch it off. Thanks.

Thank you for your time. I tried all of them! Could not get them to look how I want. The 2022 theme is perfect for what it shows. Totally minimal as standard. I just need to understand how it works. And I have also been wising up on how the FSE works. I just want a bit of help making the transition. In particular **how to make a widget work in a sidebar with FSE **. Perhaps you could offer me some suggestions along those lines? Thanks.

Yes, that gives the functionality you describe.

But not the functionality I want.

Is there perhaps any kind of plugin you would recommend to have a dedicated page for a discussion with a comments box always visible? I am sure I have seen this somewhere. Is that not standard on some kind of page or post? Or does everyone and his dog know to click on the title? I have googled about and not found anything.

I have wanted to update the outdated theme for some time but it seems like a colossal amount of work which is why I have been holding off. Nothing I can find gets me anything like the appearance I have let alone the organisation.

Oh. The page title and comment contents and category are the same. I guess I clicked on the category. I changed the title to ‘Title’ and it is not showing up.

Thanks. Weird. When I click on the posts title I get the title in caps:

Category: Page for comments and discussion

But when I click on 0 Comments I get the magic comments block. AHA!

But how would someone know to click on that? I did not, clearly! Is there not a better way to do this? How do I make a page that has a comment box as a permanent feature – not requiring someone to get expert help to comment!
