In reply to: Site editor all blackMany thanks James. So simple and so obvious once I have done it. And so useful for the future. WPForms Lite was the culprit. ‘This plugin has not been tested with this version of WordPress’ was a bit of a giveaway!

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Blank edit pagesHi. Sorry. I meant editing a post. In the wordpress editor. Now I go back to it all is working normally. Don’t know what I was going on. I have been trying different themes. It was just 2023 and 2024 that had the problem.
However, there is the other problem. If you are seeing the same is me it says across the top of the page: “Mindblown: a blog about philosophy.” and the stuff at the bottom. I could use some help getting rid of those.

In reply to: Text too small to readI have remade the page, and it looks completely different. It now looks like all the other pages with the header and breadcrumb etc. So I assume that has fixed the problem. But Google still says no. I will give it 24 hours and see if it changes its mind!

In reply to: Text too small to readHi. Thanks. Nope. Google continues to report a problem.
TExt too small to read
Clickable elements too close together
Content wider than screen
But has no formatting at all, just like the all the other pages on the site. I think this page was taken over wholesale from a previous version, so not originally a block layout. But I’m sure I made a new blank page in the 2020 install, and pasted the contents into it. I’ll try that again.

In reply to: Posts disappearedHi. Thank you. I did not know I could do that. On the Discussion page there were 4 posts. That is the only place on the site comments are allowed.
I was very surprised to find that the posts only appeared when I clicked on the date of the thread. I am still getting started understanding comments. Now nothing!

In reply to: Make links to local pages look differentThank you. This is very helpful. And yes, the arrow is a bit basic!
I have the plugin installed ‘WP External Links‘ But it simply does not work. When working it does much nicer icons. I have put up a request for support to the makers. I will report back if I can get it working.
