    David the way you treat folks who have a problems with how you handle customer service is just sad. You dig yourself deeper with your responses. If you spent as much time helping the customers over attacking them you might have a better chance at holding onto them. Your responses did not cover all the problems and I hope the readers will look closely at all the points I made since he thinks he has some how slammed dunked all my points and discredited my experience. He has not. I have no allusions that I will change the way this author operates but I do hope it will make others pause and rethink this approach and look at the bigger picture with what is possible. I think this may have worked out in my favor since it made me look deeper at other options. I have Go Daddy and I see that they backup my site and have 30 backups of my site at all times including my large uploads which UD was hanging up on. I can also download directly from there to my external hard drive. They have a restore button and backup button. I had read other negative postings about this plugin after the fact and expected the attacks as he has done so this was not a shock and par the course. I do apologize for making the connection that the same name was the same company with Go Daddy but I stand by my experience otherwise.

    I am not a fan of Dropbox at all. When I tried to ask their chat a simple question about their paid cloud services the gal wouldn’t answer it until I gave ALL my personal info to her. When I gave my free account name with them she just gives me a FAQ link and ends the chat! WOW! I even let DB know and never heard back so double WOW. I also have read people are not happy with them. Triple WOW. I contacted other cloud companies but got the same high pressure sales vibe with them. The days of hey here is a free account and we are so nice and friendly has turned into some hard sales tactics and maybe the competition is stiff now. But I had cash in hand for a paid account and got the biggest turn off possible. That is why I bought my WD Passports and decide the cloud is just an awful way to go. Plus like what happened to the east coast yesterday these cloud service can go down in a big way and we have yet to hear why from Amazon what happened. You would think they would have said something. I just tried to set up my Google Drive since only other option from what I can tell beside email which will not work. I could download from Google Drive to external drive so there is a way? Your screen shots are out of date for setting up Google Drive. I then think I was able to set it up and I see a possible new file in Credentials that could be a backup but not sure. How do you know? I then get an error from Google which disappears which also concerns me this is not working or set up right.

    I am new to this plugin and I have to say so far I am not that impressed with this group. Just signing up was not very good. They say they will email you to get the free plugin validated and no email, not in junk mail either. Then if you want to sign up for their blog updates and put in email address it also wants you to validate it with email and that email never materializes. Makes me wonder if they have been hacked.

    I wanted to block IPs from most of the countries I do not sell to. I set it up and it will sometimes block some of the countries but not all and then I have to block the IPs on my own. The whole point was not having to manually do it since it is like whackamo.

    Also after seeing these attempted attacks there are some clear patterns to the way these bots will do this. Why the plugin can’t see this and go hey this one just tried to login and it is not you and block it is disappointing. If simple me can see it why can’t the plugin. Not rocket science and why must I have to do some sort of special configuring or _____ to get it to do simple blocking?

    One thing I did find out after looking for answers is that the plug is set to “Learn” and they want it to learn for weeks before you enable the Firewall which is under the WordFence then Firewall. It will NOT block any of the countries unless this is enabled. But the whole point is to block now not after the attack. Why can’t it learn your traffic as it does basic country blocking? It seemed to be working but then again I see more countries not getting blocked so back to square one. So I don’t get why it is so flaky. Why they wouldn’t put a box to check for the Firewall with the blocking countries or refer to it with link just makes this plugin like an Easter Egg Hunt. See if you can find all the stuff you need to do. I thought this was going to be user friendly and it really isn’t. Also there is some mention to cashing they talk about that impacts this but as I dug into it there are different types of cashing and which one they are referring to is not clear. No links.

    I don’t find their approach that great right now but I guess it is the only approach so tough on us.

    I am now regretting spending 99.00 for one key for one year and thank god I only did it for one year. I put in a support ticket but still waiting to hear back.

    After looking at this forum the support is not that great either.

    I was able to transfer the files without your plugin. Your plugin wouldn’t work. Not sure why but I see that others here have had problems with it too. You almost had me as a customer but there are problems with it when using Win 7 with WP with WinSCP and Woo Commerce in a Genesis Framework Child Theme and Go Daddy. Not sure what part your plugin doesn’t interface well with any of this but I think what I have been using is not all that outside the norm. I can see why no one wants to update their plugins much since I would imagine there is constant updating with WP.

    Thanks Dion,

    I gave up on Filezilla after hours of struggling with it and then tried WinSCP and was able to load up the file without issues. After reading about it more it seems the experts were really frustrated with that program so I didn’t feel so bad. I just put the file into my cpanel root since I had no idea where to put it. Then had to figure out how to get the file into the media so I could select it. I am still not sure your plugin helped me at all since I had tried so many things. But yes I did put the file into the uploads file but figured it out on my own without any help but I wasted a whole day doing so. I assumed this plugin would make this easier. I did not find that the case at all. I am not a beginner but not an expert either. I will be donating to WinSCP for sure since it was their user friendly FTP interface and program that helped with half the battle and they had a useful video and the interface was decent. I need to give this another go in a few days with another file to see if I really do need your plugin or if it just makes things more confusing for me. But you are right it might not be for me.
