In reply to: [DW Question & Answer] BuddyPress IntegrationTell me if I should start my own topic. Im trying to get the username links on the DW Q&A forum to redirect to the users buddypress profile. Is there a code somewhere that will make this happen?
Thanks
Steve

In reply to: [Frontier Post] Latest update problemsThe formatting was lost on the homepage. I didn’t click through to other pages. I tried it in Firefox and IE. I’m actually using a child theme for Responsive Pro. I’ll download the latest version tomorrow and let you know here. Thanks for investigating so quickly

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] 'No Members Found' when submitting searchYeah, he is still missing from the directory after I deactivate BP Profile Search. The only thing I can gather is that my users arent visible until they activate their account via the registration email link, even if i manually activate them. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] 'No Members Found' when submitting searchThanks Andrea. Ive tried that too. He did not activate his account through clicking the email sent after registration. I manually activated him.
I created a test user with a legit email and 1 with a fake one. Even though I activated the user with the fake email, he does not show up in the search results. The user I created with a legit email does show up. Does it make sense that that would be the case?

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] 'No Members Found' when submitting searchHm, I created a test user which does show in the second search form. My live user does not for some reason. Hes my first user of his type. I activated him manually (as opposed to him clicking email link).
Nevermind. Working now, I swear resetting permalinks fixes everything all the time
Sure did. Thanks a lot John
Could you send me a link to your site so I can see how the forms work
Hm, maybe it would be best if I bought a book on what caching actually does.
Why should I not use it on a buddy press site? Also, word fence has an option to remove specific pages from caching. Could this work?
I’m mainly concerned with the page load speed and I also want the site to be as secure as possible. If I remove word fence, is there another option available to keep the site secure?
Also, is there a way to change the appearance of the S2 Member PayPal buttons? I like that the button generated on PayPal shows the credit card icons and it also says “Subscribe” instead of “pay now” – displayed on the S2 Member generated button.
The PayPal generated button also allows me to show a drop down menu of my subscription options, ie monthly or annual memberships. Any way to display that with the s2 Member button?
Many Thanks
No I hadnt seen that, but its interesting. Im currently using BP Profile Search which seems to do what I need it to do (though I don’t have any users yet).
Im mainly looking for S2 member to require a ‘paid – professional’ level (level 2) in order to access the ‘professional searching consumers’ form. The member search forms themselves are already in place.
Im having a similar issue. Im running a buddypress site with 3 levels (free – consumer, free – professional and paid – professional). I need the professionals and consumers to be able to search for each other. Im not using the S2member registration form. I am using the buddypress registration form with ‘Conditional Profile Fields for Buddypress‘. BTW this plugin works best of those ive tried to incorporate conditional fields into registration. The profile search form seems to work as well.
I want to give my ‘Paid – professional’ users the ability to search consumers, as well as create groups, remove users posts, write blogs etc. These abilities will not be available to ‘free – professional’ users. I also need the ‘free – consumer’ members to be able to use their own search form to find professionals, without the ability to create groups, remove user posts, write blogs etc. I know there is a solution out there for me, but i havent found it yet.

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] How to add a dynamic Drop Down Menu?Hello, I would gladly pay to see this functionality.
This plugin came out in August 2014:
https://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-conditional-profile-fields-buddypress-plugin/.It works great.
I heard mixed reviews about the other plugin referenced above .
