In reply to: Anyone use HyperDB to replicate MySQL database?HyperDB doesn’t do the replication for you. It is merely there so that if you have replication setup already, you can put in the main server you have and if it fails, then it will connect to your replication server. Nothing more than that.
Also wondering if anyone knows why using the this plugin with the latest version of Prologue would produce the following type error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_insert_category() in /www/wp-content/mu-plugins/sitewide-tags.php on line 120
I read here as well that shows that error when using a plugin that replicates posts from RSS feeds.
Not sure, but looking for ideas ??

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress MU Sitewide Tags Pages] Works with sub.domain.com?I have it working with subdomains just fine. I am not sure if it works with subdirectories though as I have never tried it or know anyone that has.

In reply to: [Plugin: Viper’s Video Quicktags] Compatibility with Wpmu?I dropped the folder into the /mu-plugins/ folder but took a copy of the main plugin file to put directly into the /mu-plugins/ folder and then altered the plugin paths in that main file for the new destinations. Works like a dream on WPMU 1.5! Thanks Viper!

In reply to: .htaccess HTTP_COOKIE not working (Super Cache problem)yeah donncha you are a bit busy these days ?? Appreciate the comments. I *think* I have it working now with the following:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !^.*comment_author_.*$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !^.*wordpressuser.*$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !^.*wp-postpass_.*$
The difference being that I used the wordpressuser without the “_” at the end. It seems to be working now.
Thanks for you time and your help!
Cheers,

In reply to: .htaccess HTTP_COOKIE not working (Super Cache problem)Nothing unusual donncha. I am running the Haris.tv ssl admin plugin the same as Jan and trying to get it to play nice with the wp-super-cache plugin you wrote. The cache plugin checks to see if the user has commented or is logged in looking for the normal wordpress cookie and the ssl admin plugin encrypts the cookie so it is more secure. Just trying to find a way to get your cache plugin to notice the new cookie.
Just for reference, I tried Ryan’s plugin, but it didn’t work for me as it gave me an indefinite loops trying to find the admin area.
Being more specific, if I turn off super cache and just leave on wp-cache, it works fine. The minute I turn on super cache again it doesn’t notice the cookie. Instead, it serves up the super cache page and not the wp-cache page (if super exists) and doesn’t read the cookie unless I hit the https same version of the page.
It really is perplexing and the line Jan references doesn’t seem to work for me, but maybe it is about location in the .htaccess? I have other plugins running, but nothing that plays around with the cookies at all. Super Cache works fine before enabling this plugin as well.
Thanks,
Trent

In reply to: I HATE not being able to reach a personAssuming the obvious that you have this option turned on in your Admin => Options => Discussion and are checking the email address of the blog admin (stupid questions aside), do a search for no emails and your host name in these forums. It comes up many times.
