I instaled it. I don’t get any errors but it just doesn’t work on my site.

I added add_filter(‘comment_text’, ‘stripslashes’);
to wp-includes/vars.php and it worked like a charm for me.

Ok, I added include_once(ABSPATH.WPINC.’/links-update-xml.php’);
to the very top of index.php but when I go to view my site in Firefox it flashes white real quick and for a brief second I can actually see it say include_once(ABSPATH.WPINC.’/links-update-xml.php’);
Is there a way to fix that?

I guess what I need is explicit instructions on how to get WordPress 1.2 to chcek for updated links. Not a complaint I just really want to figure this out.

For some reason adding that line causes a huge gap on the top of my page. I’ve removed the line.

The posts on the site itself is fine but in WordPress at the Advanced Editing screen under Post Preview I’m getting the slashes and I don’t know how to correct that.

Never mind. I’m a big idiot who can’t read the permalink options instructions properly.

I’m not using any static charcters and my ctaegory permalinks do not work.

I CHMOD’ed that too to 666 and still nothing.

Also having problems with the blogroll. I’ve CHMOD’ed link-update-cacahe.xml to 666 but still no change.

Ok, this time I did a straight out of the box upgrade. Nothing has been edited and I’m still getting slahes in the edit post preview.
If anyone can help me with this I’ll name my second born son WordPress. (I already promised to name my firstborn 2fargon for helping me with an eraslier issue)
