okay, I did that, changed to “post”. The site url didn’t change, root is still blank and /wordpress works, but now the links do not work, yet images are still loading on the main page

no to get ahead, but if we changed the blog ID table to 1, and mirrored it on the wp-config.php would that straighten itself out? The site url and home url were updated 10 hours ago to be correct

did it, now all the linked images have returned and I can log in

there is some random stuff in their directory from an old flash / js / css site from two thousand twelve, but none looks like a conflict

no, the root directory only has a wp install in root/wordpress

no current root level wp install, although I think we’re looking at legacy issues.

the redirect was popping up with a /2014 directory, but it isn’t there.

site has maybe 40 broken links, I’m not opposed to manually re-placing them

there;s literally nothing at the /2012 site, nothing will be lost if we have to delete it.

okay, when I click the wp_blog and look at the browse tab I see two entries.

the top entry says blog id 1, site id 1, and the path is /2012 (assuming that’s the old one)

the second entry, blog 2, site id 1 and the path is /

am I looking at it right? I know how to edit it, but is it the site / blog Id?

sure can, and it works from the root/wp-admin as well as root/wordpress/wp-admin

(edit) and teh visit your site tab from the dashboard is working / pointing correctly too…this is good stuff.

done . what changed is the root url is now white instead of forbidden (progress) and the subdirectory url works as before
