I’m having the same issue on my website. Following this thread for a response. I’m using the Yoast plugin to generate my sitemap.

Thanks @quetzacoatl I appreciate the reply. I know that categories can be created there, and they aren’t related to post categories, but that autocomplete/drop-down used to work and isn’t anymore. It’s unfortunate that they didn’t reply to your post from 4 days ago yet.
