Hi There!
Thank you for getting in touch! You can try wrapping your videos in our Membership shortcode.
For your convenience, I have linked the shortcode documentation below:
https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/documentation/content-controls/with-shortcodes/We also have some documentation on locking down files in your media library that you might find useful:

Hi Prachi,
Thank you for getting in touch with us! We have a Plus Addon that can allow you to add Roles depending on the membership level. For more information, you can see the addon below:
However, it would appear that you would like to add a user and set their membership role. To do this, you can simply add a user as you normally would via the WordPress dashboard, you can then set their role and if you scroll to the bottom of the user profile you can set their membership level.
Hope this helps!
TravHey @giologist,
Here is a gist that Jason has written up sometime ago, it redirects members to a homepage or login page, maybe you could try alter it to suite your needs?
Hi @danser81,
Thank you for getting in touch!
Paid Membership Pro has an add-on that does just that. The Email Confirmation Add On adds an additional step to membership checkout, requiring members to click a validation link in the confirmation email in order to activate their membership.
For your convenience, I have linked to a blog post where Kim explains a bit more on the topic and there is a link to the add-on in the post:
I hope this helps!
Hi There,
That sounds about right, if a user registers as a free user their role should be set to a subscriber and their membership level should change from “None” to “Free Level (Membership level name)”
You could try create another free level from scratch to check to see if this happens with the new level and make sure your plugin is up to date.
See if any of these fixes the issue. Hope that helps!
Hi @ogalinski,
Is it happening with all your members or just the one? It does seem strange for that to be happening.
This is a little bit of a trickier one to debug without taking a closer look. Perhaps you could post on Paid Membership Pro’s members support forum for one of the support engineers to take a closer look for you?

Hi Pramod,
Quite a lot of users who tend to go this route, will usually make two membership levels that grant access to the same content.
So essentially, you will have two levels you could label one Annual Membership and the other Monthly Membership. The monthly will be set up to receive monthly payments of $100pm and the Annual to receive a a larger once off payment (but at a discounted price), regardless of which the user chooses they will still be granted access to the same content.
Do you think something like this will work for you?
Hey!
Glad you got it working, sorry I didnt reply to you quick enough!
Hope you have a great day!
Hey Roopkamal,
So maybe the best thing to do is set up a free trial membership with an expiry date. So users will register with the free family trial membership, try it out for as you want them to (set expiration date to your membership)
If they want to continue with your premium service, they will then need to upgrade to the paid family package.
You could also mention to users (if you go with the custom trial period for the paid family membership level) that the membership will automatically kick in after the trial period is over, if they do not want to continue with the membership, the should cancel before the custom trial is over.
Hope this helps!
Hi There!
Is your plugin fully up to date? It is a bit tricky to debug the issue without having a closer look into the issue, are you a PMPro member? If so, you could open up a thread for further support.
Hi There,
There is an add on called “Custom Level Cost Text” that allows you to edit this text. It is however a Pro Add on, for more info you can see the link below:
https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plus-add-ons/pmpro-custom-level-cost-text/Hope this helps!
Hi There!
Once you click on the “Recurring Subscription” then it should open up a few more options and with it the custom trial period check box.
Hope this helps!
