You can turn if off in the settings. If it doesn’t work out of the box it can be because of your website configuration.

The search form is a part of Travelpayouts widgets, the plugin just helps to embed it.

Yes, you can check description from here https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.travelpayouts.com%2Fen%2Fmobile-application-without-sdk%2F and just from view-source.
It seems working for me, just pulls the description from Yoast. Before it used just a whole 1st paragraph.
