In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadBut, like I wrote earlier, at this point I just want the theme to act like the parent theme, only with a narrower sidebar when on large screens.
As far as I can tell, the only changes I made to the child theme css have to do with colour and font, besides the narrowing of the sidebar and some extra padding added around the featured image.
This is why I do not understand why the sidebar overlaps the footer instead of doing what its parent tells it to do and reside just above the footer.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadOh. In the past I have received help and support in troubleshooting via the wordpress forums. Has this changed?
I am not asking someone to ‘completely rework’ a child theme. I am asking for insight into how I might fix this and why, potentially, this may be happening. I obviously made some kind of error in my child theme but do not know what it is.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadEr…That was the reason for the question in my original post: “Any ideas on how to fix this?”
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadI did that. But when the child theme is activated it superimposes the sidebar on top of the footer (hiding some footer content) instead of above it.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadThere is no way to make the sidebar narrower when it is on the large screen?
I do not want to remove all of the responsive features. At this point I do not mind it moving to the bottom of the content when on a smaller screen but I would like the sidebar to remain narrow when in full screen.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadOk. I may be able to work around that… but we would still like it to be 175px when viewed on a full screen. Is there a way to do that and have it behave properly (not cover the footer) on the ipad? It does not do this on my samsung galaxy, it places the sidebar next to the footer widgets, though, not above them.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadI suppose. I re-sized the sidebar to 175px but I do not know why this would push it onto the footer.
Is it not possible to keep the sidebar at the top right? That is where we need it to be.
Thank you.

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadI have also just noticed that the whole theme seems to reside on the left side of the ipad screen (with almost a cm of white space at the right of the screen)…

In reply to: TwentyThirteen Sidebar on iPadI’ve activated the unedited twentythirteen on reseaugtn.com and it places the sidebar under the content but above the footer.
I’d like it to remain on the top right.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: twenty thirteen @media sidebarI have what appears to be the same issue. My site using twentythirteen (french) displays fine in browsers and is responsive on my android phone but the sidebar is located over my footer content on the ipad.

In reply to: [qTranslate] Not work on wp 3.6update – I am not only missing the language tabs but I am also missing the editor shortcuts at the top of the editor box when working in html, which now has a title of ‘text’ on the tab. Good thing I know my html codes since I have to do everything manually ??
Thanks.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [qTranslate] Not work on wp 3.6I changed the code to 3.6 and it works somewhat…I no longer have language tabs in my editor to allow me to easily switch from French to English, now I must do everything in html and use the

codes to identify language.Any trick at getting the tabbed editor back?
Thanks!
