In reply to: Twenty Fifteen brokenSorry one more thing…the transparency code you gave me for the header worked in full browser view, but when I resize the browser to smaller it shows a white background again.

In reply to: Twenty Fifteen brokenOh I had it in my blog page itself. Now it works when I put it in the style.css file. Strange that it used to work in the blog page but now only works in the style.css file.

In reply to: Twenty Fifteen brokenYes there is, to set one background globally. But I wanted to use different backgrounds for all the pages, so that’s why I was adding backgrounds with css for each page.

In reply to: Twenty Fifteen brokenGreat that fixed the transparency issue! Thanks so much. However, the blog page is still a problem. I recall you helped me before to find the css selector, but now it no longer works. This was the code that worked before to provide a background image:
.blog {
background: url(‘https://test.justinhawleydesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/MEXICO-4.jpg’)
no-repeat center center fixed;
max-width: 100%;
background-size: cover;

In reply to: WordPress vs. Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, etc…Those are all excellent points Matthew and Catacaustic. I think a running theme here is that WordPress does offer more functionality options than drag and drop sites and options. However, I can see how all of that freedom can be complicated for many people. No matter which way you look at it, I have found WordPress to have a steep learning curve. And drag and drop builders can offer an advantage to people who don’t want to learn anything. But with that comes a cost as I am learning, both in price and options. I will continue my research, but I think the main selling points I will use for myself will be more personalized customer care, better customization for the $$$, and cheaper $$$ for the client in the long run.
