  • Thanks very much whooami ??

    I no longer see the version of WP I’m using. It used to be at the bottom of the pages, now all I see is a link to upgrade to WP 2.6. Can someone tell me where I can now find what version I’m using?

    Thanks.

    You can have an add to cart button on all the pages or in the sidebar like I put it and that part works.

    I’m just a little pissed off that everybody can use the product for free, including me, but then when I paid for something, I get ripped off by instinct.

    If what they’re selling is buggy, they could at least give me an answer about it instead of ignoring me when I just bought it.

    When it gives me that error message, here’s what the code in the grid_display_functions.php file says at line 48:

    ‘$output .= ““;
    //$output .= “
    “;’

    Can anyone see an error with that?

    For the record, I believe what microdot is saying is true. I loaded their free plugin and it worked fine. Then I bought the gold cart and the grid view plugins and got this error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpsc_product_url() in /mnt/w0011/d46/s20/b024d5f9/www/jacksonjewellery.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-shopping-cart/gold_cart_files/grid_display_functions.php on line 48

    I then posted in their forum and they emailed me to say I must have a server error (although there was no server error on their free stuff). They asked me for all my id’s and passwords, ftp, wp login, and I gave it to them.

    I never heard another word. I’ve emailed back at least 5 times and gotten no answer, so I’ve paid $30 for nothing. Never mind that they never even emailed to say that I could purchase support. Just no response from them at all.

    Does anyone know what that error above is? Maybe it’s some simple code error that I could fix myself?

    Thanks very much, I get really sick of searching through the forums never knowing if I’m using the correct tag words and sometimes not finding any answers except unanswered questions.

    That worked, I guess it was the google sitemap plugin, because I deactivated that and everything was ok.

    Thanks for all your help, but I found a post that got this fixed by me turning of the wp-paginate plugin.

    Yes, you’re right – I found that when I clicked on the single pages then.

    Thanks again for all your help.

    Ok, that was the problem – no page template dropdown was showing up – so I was looking under page parent.

    I just went to another of the pages, and the template dropdown finally showed, so now I should be able to pick that template without the comments part and it should work properly (I hope).

    Thanks very much for your patience.

    Am I copying it to the right place? I’ve renamed it back to page.php and I can’t see it as a template to use.

    What shows up under page parent is “about us” “contact” yada, yada, all the pages that were already existing when I chose this theme.

    I’m at that page now – but I originally called it page.php and it didn’t show up as a template to use either.

    Thanks very much for that answer. I took the index.php and copied it into a file called single.php – that single.php file shows up under presentation, theme editor, however it doesn’t show up in the list of page parents.

    Didn’t there used to be a spot in the WP editing pages, for a template to apply? I’m looking for that and I don’t see it.

    I think I need to pick a template and have it use this single.php for the pages. Right now I’ve just ticked the “allow comments” to be off.

    PS: I uploaded the single.php file into the themes/zen-min/ directory.

    Is there anywhere to turn the comments off on the pages but not on the posts? This theme doesn’t have a single post template, just the main one.

    Kafka, that worked, and then I just pasted the dropdown theme list in it and it seemed to work fine.

    I don’t know what you took out to make it show up, but thanks very much for whatever you did ??

    Sorry, I forgot to mention that this was with the “travelogue” theme.
