  • Would the admin who removed my post here yesterday please be so kind as to send me the post by email so I do not have to write the entire thing over from scratch in starting a new thread?

    Thank you.

    Thank you for the quick reply. I tried the easiest of your suggestions, renaming the plugins folder, with no luck. The other will take a bit more time. I will keep you posted.

    Thank you for the very quick reply. I saw the Additional CSS field of course, but I am business owner who is not afraid to open the hood and tinker (instruction sure help), not a code guy who speaks CSS. I’ll wait for the new notification.

    Since this plugin mimics pages and posts, hopefully you will coordinate with language switcher plugins like Polylang.

    Hi Tobias,

    That option was not even in the wp-config.php file (only WP_DEBUG), so I added it, and … voilà, all problems gone.

    Besten Dank!

    So that leaves the following questions:

    – Why would the SCRIPT_DEBUG option not be in the wp-config.php file?
    – Does the SCRIPT_DEBUG option have any adverse performance effects?
    – What could be ultimately causing the dropping of the ) ? Some sort of plugin conflict?

    Lastly, to your second suggestion: does deleting the plugin from the plugins page delete all the tables and settings?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Tobias,

    Before activating TablePress, there are zero errors. After activation, this:

    I am not a code guy, so I am not sure what to make of all this. It seems there is a non-existent variable referenced somewhere, but I have no idea where to look. Or for the type error. Or how to fix them.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Many thanks! Thought that was only for page and post titles!

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    Of course I put a title in the “Title” section … indeed, tried several.

    bavarindaytours.com

    I have taken down the “coming soon” page for a day.

    Could the theme be overriding the widget?

    Many thanks!

    Hi, I am baffled. I am trying to wrap text around the slideshow, but nothing seems to work.

    Neither the “Custom Styles” nor the “Default Slideshow Settings” tabs work in the General Settings area of the plugin.

    The slideshow works fine, but I cannot wrap the text, and I really need to do this. I have added the

    .slideshow_container {
        float: left;
    }

    to style.css (it’s a free template) and to another custom css file, and both times the images disappeared, but the Next and Previous Slide buttons showed up both times.

    I guess the main question is: Why don’t the “Custom Styles” and the “Default Slideshow Settings” buttons work properly?

    WordPress Version 3.5.1
    Slideshow Version 2.2.10
    Firefox
    Chrome

    Many thanks!

    I have noticed the same thing. Is there a work-around for this, or is this just the way the plugin is going to stay? I have noticed that the plugin site is void of info.

    Works really nice when the slug & title are the same.

    I don’t think that this plugin can use the featured image: the website says:

    “The plugin uses the medium size image attached to post and pages
    The menu uses the top image from the posts/pages gallery”

    Accordion Image Menu is not picking up the top images in my nextgen galleries so I added feature images, which were not picked up either.

    If there is not already a workaround for this, it would be a welcome addition to the next release!

    Tobias, Just after posting I thought to double check the spanning, and realize that spanning must be set by the options (and not simply typed in) and that I mixed up colspan and rowspan. All is well!

    Hi Tobias,

    Two tables (#s 1&2) from the above web site did not survive the move to its proper home (zier-law.de). I reconstructed these from the old site using the exact same info (just updated photo address), including the table options. For some reason the spacing is all different from the original. I tried a few fixes but nothing worked. How do I get rid of the space above or below the text in the right column?

    It should look like grityphoto.net.

    A side note, the table is 2×2, and there is a rowspan (!!) in column one, row two at grittyphoto.net. That should not work and did not at zier-law.de.

    Your help is appreciated! The site is live now.

    Deleted all inactive plugins and then it worked. Lesson learned!
