thanks for your help. the problem is, my server only allows 2 databases. one is used for the cms and one is used for the message forum. so i guess my only hope is a suitable java chat room? any ideas? thanks.

it’s the kind of thing im after though. no adverts, sweet and simple etc. i want to run live webchats with celebrities so will require there to be an admin account which distinguish’s itself from other general users in the chat room.

the hosting company is nothing to do with the content of my webspace. they merely provide me with the space. what would you suggest i ask them?

I’m afraid I have no idea if I have phpmyadmin or not.

that method seems better than the current set up. how do i determine what categories it does and doesn’t display?

this doesn’t give me the option i need. it reads ‘9999’. the other box reads 15. none of the figures are displayed on the actual site. i need to change the number of recent entries on my interviews page, to 20.

there’s writing that appears reading ‘permanent link to’ then the name of the article. i wanna alter this.
