In reply to: [WPvivid Backup for MainWP] “never” in backup column of mainWPHi @kinkmobile
Sorry that I should have mentioned this. The debug tab is not within the MainWP dashboard, it’s in the WPvivid Backup Plugin of the main site.

In reply to: [AVIF, WebP Converter] Avif in Plesk Ubuntu Php 8.2Hi @todoenlaces
I see. In fact, configuring a server for AVIF support is very complicated and the methods can vary a lot depending on different server environments. As developer of a PHP app that works within WordPress, configuring a server is kind of out of our scope, we’ve tried though but unfortunately have not found a reliable way to guide users to properly configure their servers.

In reply to: [AVIF, WebP Converter] Avif in Plesk Ubuntu Php 8.2Hi @todoenlaces
So just to clarify, you are asking for a tutorial on how to configure your server to support AVIF?
If so, what operating system does the server use, and what version it is?

The error suggests that GD or Imagick libraries may not be installed on your server. The libraries are required for CompressX which is a localhost converter to work.
It is recommended that you check and make sure to install required libraries then try it again.
You can check whether your server is ready for WebP/AVIF conversion from the System Information tab of the plugin.

We just tested it again and the last backup time for scheduled backups showed properly on our sites. Would you send us a debug zip of the main site through the plugin’s Debug tab and include a link to this thread so we could troubleshoot the issue and suggest further?

In reply to: [AVIF, WebP Converter] Replacement of imagesHello @vaisoco
You are welcome.
1. We checked the van image and noticed that it’s already showing as AVIF format. See this screenshot.
2. Our guess is that the converted versions are larger than original images. In that case, the plugin will automatically remove the converted visions by default. This usually happens when the original jpg/png images have already been compressed before the conversion. You can verify that by unchecking the option ‘Automatic removal of files in output formats larger than the original ones’ in the plugin settings, then perform another optimization.
However, if it is not the case, we’d be happy to troubleshoot further if you could send us a debug zip through the Debug tab of the plugin. Please also include a link to this thread when you do that for us to track the issue.

Please note that the replacement is done automatically after the conversion, because .htaccess rules CompressX generated will tell the browser to call the newly generated AVIF or WebP, so you don’t need to do extra things.
Btw, to check whether WebP and AVIF is served, you can follow the steps below:
1. Right click on the image, click Inspect,
2. On the console that opens, click Network on the top, then see whether the image type is WebP or AVIF.

Just a quick update:
We just released a new version – 0.9.19 where we have optimized the scanning method to scan images in batches if there are a great number of images on a website.
You can update the plugin and see if the issue resolved.

The “Sync the Dashboard with child sites” option is available on your MainWP dashboard, for more details, you can read this doc.

In reply to: [Migration, Backup, Staging – WPvivid Backup & Migration] Easy and effectiveHi @alanarena
The timeout error occurred at the image scanning process, and there could be two situations:
- There were too many images and the scanning could not be completed in 30 seconds.
- The scanning encountered unknown errors which caused it to be interrupted.
So, just to clarify, did you get the error immediately when the process started, or after about 30 seconds?
Also, how many images were there on the site?
You can also check whether there are any related errors recorded in the PHP error log.
Regarding the Cloudflare error, it can be related to the permissions of the Cloudflare API token. It is recommended that you check whether you have entered correct Global API Key. You should be able to find it on your Cloudflare dashboard > My Profile > API Tokens > Global API Key. For more details, you can read this Cloudflare doc.
